اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو نہایت مہربان ہمیشہ رحم فرمانے والا ہے
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Ever-Merciful

وَ مَا ہٰذِہِ الۡحَیٰوۃُ الدُّنۡیَاۤ اِلَّا لَہۡوٌ وَّ لَعِبٌ ؕ وَ اِنَّ الدَّارَ الۡاٰخِرَۃَ لَہِیَ الۡحَیَوَانُ ۘ لَوۡ کَانُوۡا یَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ﴿۶۴﴾

64. اور (اے لوگو!) یہ دنیا کی زندگی کھیل اور تماشے کے سوا کچھ نہیں ہے، اور حقیقت میں آخرت کا گھر ہی (صحیح) زندگی ہے۔ کاش! وہ لوگ (یہ راز) جانتے ہوتےo

64. The life of this word is nothing but diversion and play. As for the abode of the Hereafter, it is indeed the (real) life if only they knew.

64. And, (O people,) the life of this world is nothing but sport and pastime and the Home of the Hereafter is the only (true) life. Would that they knew (this secret)!

64. Wama hathihi alhayatu alddunya illa lahwun walaAAibun wainna alddara alakhirata lahiya alhayawanu law kanoo yaAAlamoona

64. Og (å, dere mennesker!), dette jordelivet (jordelivets luksus) er ikke noe annet enn moro og lek. Og det hinsidiges hjem er i sannhet (det ekte) livet. Om de bare visste (om denne hemmeligheten)!

64. और (ऐ लोगो!) ये दुन्या की ज़िन्दगी खेल और तमाशे के सिवा कुछ नहीं है, और हक़ीक़त में आख़िरत का घर ही (सहीह) ज़िन्दगी है। काश! वोह लोग (ये राज़) जानते होते।

৬৪. আর (হে মানুষ!) এ পার্থিব জীবন তো ক্রীড়াকৌতুক ব্যতীত আর কিছুই নয়। আর বস্তুতঃ পারলৌকিক গৃহই (প্রকৃত) জীবন। হায়! এরা যদি (এ গোপন রহস্য) জানতো!

فَاِذَا رَکِبُوۡا فِی الۡفُلۡکِ دَعَوُا اللّٰہَ مُخۡلِصِیۡنَ لَہُ الدِّیۡنَ ۬ۚ فَلَمَّا نَجّٰہُمۡ اِلَی الۡبَرِّ اِذَا ہُمۡ یُشۡرِکُوۡنَ ﴿ۙ۶۵﴾

65. پھر جب وہ کشتی میں سوار ہوتے ہیں تو (مشکل وقت میں بتوں کو چھوڑ کر) صرف اللہ کو اس کے لئے (اپنا) دین خالص کرتے ہوئے پکارتے ہیں، پھر جب اللہ انہیں بچا کر خشکی تک پہنچا دیتا ہے تو اس وقت وہ (دوبارہ) شرک کرنے لگتے ہیںo

65. Whenever they board a ship, they call upon Allah, devoting (their) faith exclusively to Him. But, once He has delivered them safely to land, behold, they start ascribing partners (to Him again).

65. When they board a vessel they (abandon the idols in hard times and) call upon Allah alone, making their Din (faith and devotion) sincerely (and purely) for Him. Then, when Allah rescues and brings them safe to the land, they start setting up partners with Him (again),

65. Faitha rakiboo fee alfulki daAAawoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena falamma najjahum ila albarri itha hum yushrikoona

65. Når de går om bord på skip, anroper de Allah (i vanskens time ved å gi slipp på alle avgudsstatuene og) ved å vie sin levemåte (religion) oppriktig til Ham alene. Men når Allah berger dem til det tørre land, begynner de (igjen) å likestille (andre med Ham),

65. फिर जब वोह कश्ती में सवार होते हैं तो (मुश्किल वक़्त में बुतों को छोड़कर) सिर्फ अल्लाह को उसके लिए (अपना) दीन ख़ालिस करते हुए पुकारते हैं, फिर जब अल्लाह उन्हें बचाकर ख़ुश्की तक पहुंचा देता है तो उस वक़्त वोह (दोबारा) शिर्क करने लगते हैं।

৬৫. অতঃপর যখন তারা নৌকায় আরোহণ করে তখন (বিপদে মূর্তিদের ছেড়ে নিজের বিশ্বাস ও ঐকান্তিক নিবেদনে) দ্বীনকে একনিষ্ঠ করে কেবল আল্লাহ্কে ডাকে করে। অতঃপর যখন আল্লাহ্ তাদেরকে উদ্ধার করে তীরে পৌঁছে দেন তখন তারা (আবার) অংশীদারিত্ব সাব্যস্ত করতে শুরু করে

لِیَکۡفُرُوۡا بِمَاۤ اٰتَیۡنٰہُمۡ ۚۙ وَ لِیَتَمَتَّعُوۡا ٝ فَسَوۡفَ یَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ﴿۶۶﴾

66. تاکہ اس (نعمتِ نجات) کی ناشکری کریں جو ہم نے انہیں عطا کی اور (کفر کی زندگی کے حرام) فائدے اٹھاتے رہیں۔ پس وہ عنقریب (اپنا انجام) جان لیں گےo

66. So let them be ungrateful for what We have granted them. And let them enjoy themselves. Soon, they will know (the truth).

66. So that they may show ingratitude towards that (favour of deliverance) which We granted them and enjoy (the unlawful) benefits (of the life of disbelief). But soon they will know (their fate).

66. Liyakfuroo bima ataynahum waliyatamattaAAoo fasawfa yaAAlamoona

66. for å vise utakknemlighet mot det (bergingens velsignelse) som Vi skjenket dem, og for å nyte (de ulovlige) fordelene (ved vantroens liv). Snart vil de få vite (om sin ende).

66. ताकि उस (नेअ़मते नजात) की नाशुक्री करें जो हमने उन्हें अ़ता की और (कुफ्र की ज़िन्दगी के हराम) फाइदे उठाते रहें। पस वोह अ़नक़रीब (अपना अंजाम) जान लेंगे।

,৬৬. যাতে (এ মুক্তির মাধ্যমে অনুগ্রহ)-এর উপর অকৃতজ্ঞ হয় যা আমি তাদেরকে দান করলাম এবং (কুফরী জীবনের অবৈধ) উপকার গ্রহণ করতে থাকে। অতঃপর নিশ্চয়ই তারা অচিরেই (নিজেদের পরিণতি) জানতে পারবে।

اَوَ لَمۡ یَرَوۡا اَنَّا جَعَلۡنَا حَرَمًا اٰمِنًا وَّ یُتَخَطَّفُ النَّاسُ مِنۡ حَوۡلِہِمۡ ؕ اَفَبِالۡبَاطِلِ یُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ وَ بِنِعۡمَۃِ اللّٰہِ یَکۡفُرُوۡنَ ﴿۶۷﴾

67. اور کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے حرمِ (کعبہ) کو جائے امان بنا دیا ہے اور اِن کے اِردگرِد کے لوگ اُچک لئے جاتے ہیں، تو کیا (پھر بھی) وہ باطل پر ایمان رکھتے اور اللہ کے احسان کی ناشکری کرتے رہیں گےo

67. And do they (i.e. the Meccan disbelievers) not see that We have made (the city of Mecca) a secure sanctuary, whereas people are being snatched away all around them? Would they still believe in falsehood and be ungrateful towards the blessing of Allah?

67. And have they not seen that We have made the Sanctuary (of the Ka‘ba) a safe haven while people are abducted from all around them? Do they (still) believe in falsehood, and will they continue disregarding the favour of Allah?

67. Awalam yaraw anna jaAAalna haraman aminan wayutakhattafu alnnasu min hawlihim afabialbatili yuminoona wabiniAAmati Allahi yakfuroona

67. Har de da ikke sett at Vi har gjort (Ka‛bahs) helligdom til et trygt sted, mens folk rundt omkring dem blir rykket bort? Vil de da (fortsatt) tro på falskheten og fortsette å vise utakknemlighet mot Allahs gunst?

67. और क्या उन्होंने नहीं देखा कि हमने हरमे (का’बा) को जाए अमान बना दिया है और उनके इर्द-गिर्द के लोग उचक लिए जाते हैं तो क्या (फिर भी) वोह बातिल पर ईमान रखते और अल्लाह के एहसान की नाशुक्री करते रहेंगे।

৬৭. আর তারা কি দেখে না আমি (কা’বার) হারামকে নিরাপদ স্থান বানিয়েছি অথচ এর চারপাশ থেকে মানুষকে অপহরণ করা হচ্ছে। (তারপরও) কি এরা মিথ্যার উপর বিশ্বাস রাখে এবং আল্লাহ্‌র অনুগ্রহের অকৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করতে থাকবে?

وَ مَنۡ اَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ افۡتَرٰی عَلَی اللّٰہِ کَذِبًا اَوۡ کَذَّبَ بِالۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَہٗ ؕ اَلَیۡسَ فِیۡ جَہَنَّمَ مَثۡوًی لِّلۡکٰفِرِیۡنَ ﴿۶۸﴾

68. اور اس شخص سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہو سکتا ہے جو اللہ پر جھوٹا بہتان باندھے یا حق کو جھٹلا دے جب وہ اس کے پاس آپہنچے۔ کیا دوزخ میں کافروں کے لئے ٹھکانہ (مقرر) نہیں ہےo

68. Who is more unjust than one who fabricates a lie against Allah or denies the truth after it has reached him? Is not the (final) abode of the disbelievers in Hell?

68. And who can be more unjust than someone who fabricates a lie concerning Allah or belies the truth when it comes to him? Is there not an apartment in Hell (appointed) for the disbelievers?

68. Waman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththaba bialhaqqi lamma jaahu alaysa fee jahannama mathwan lilkafireena

68. Og hvem er mer ondsinnet enn han som dikter opp løgn om Allah eller forsverger sannheten når den har kommet til ham? Er ikke de vantros oppholdssted (bestemt) i helvete?

68. और उस शख़्स से बढ़कर ज़ालिम कौन हो सकता है जो अल्लाह पर झूटा बोहतान बांधे या हक़्क़ को झुटला दे जब वोह उसके पास आ पहुंचे। क्या दोज़ख़ में काफिरों के लिए ठिकाना (मुक़र्रर) नहीं है।

৬৮. আর তার চেয়ে বড় যালিম আর কে, যে আল্লাহ্‌র প্রতি মিথ্যা অপবাদ আরোপ করে অথবা তার কাছে আগত সত্যকে মিথ্যাপ্রতিপন্ন করে? জাহান্নাম কি কাফেরদের (নির্ধারিত) ঠিকানা নয়?

وَ الَّذِیۡنَ جَاہَدُوۡا فِیۡنَا لَنَہۡدِیَنَّہُمۡ سُبُلَنَا ؕ وَ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَمَعَ الۡمُحۡسِنِیۡنَ ﴿٪۶۹﴾

69. اور جو لوگ ہمارے حق میں جہاد (یعنی مجاہدہ) کرتے ہیں تو ہم یقینا انہیں اپنی (طرف سَیر اور وصول کی) راہیں دکھا دیتے ہیں، اور بے شک اللہ صاحبانِ احسان کو اپنی معیّت سے نوازتا ہےo

69. As for those who strive hard for Us, We shall surely guide them in Our ways. And Allah is indeed with the virtuously excellent.

69. And those who strive hard (and struggle against the lower self vehemently) for Our cause, We certainly guide them to Our ways, and verily Allah blesses the men of spiritual excellence with His companionship.

69. Waallatheena jahadoo feena lanahdiyannahum subulana wainna Allaha lamaAAa almuhsineena

69. Og de som anstrenger seg for Vår sak (og evig kjemper mot sitt eget jegs onde begjær), dem viser Vi visselig Vår sti (som fører til reisen mot Vår erkjennelse og tilknytning til Oss). Og sannelig, Allah velsigner de åndelig fullkomne med Sin nærhet og vennskap.

69. और जो लोग हमारे हक़्क़ में जिहाद (यानी मुजाहिदा) करते हैं तो हम यक़ीनन उन्हें अपनी (तरफ सैर और वुसूल की) राहें दिखा देते हैं, और बेशक अल्लाह साहिबाने एह्‌सान को अपनी मइय्यत से नवाज़ता है।

৬৯. আর যারা আমাদের জন্যে কঠোর সাধনায় (ও নাফসের সাথে তীব্র সংগ্রামে) আত্মনিয়োগ করে, তবে আমরা অবশ্যই তাদেরকে আমাদের (দিকে চলার এবং পৌঁছার) পথ দেখিয়ে দেই। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ্ আধ্যাত্নিক উৎকর্ষতাপ্রাপ্ত লোকদেরকে আপন সাহচর্য প্রদান করে ধন্য করেন।
