Surah al-Hajj Ayat 42 with English Translation

اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو نہایت مہربان ہمیشہ رحم فرمانے والا ہے
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Ever-Merciful

وَ اِنۡ یُّکَذِّبُوۡکَ فَقَدۡ کَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَہُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوۡحٍ وَّ عَادٌ وَّ ثَمُوۡدُ ﴿ۙ۴۲﴾

42. اور اگر یہ (کفار) آپ کو جھٹلاتے ہیں تو ان سے پہلے قومِ نوح اور عاد و ثمود نے بھی (اپنے رسولوں کو) جھٹلایا تھاo

42. And if they deny you (now), then (already) the people of Nuh (Noah) have denied before them, and ‘Ad and Thamud (too).

42. And if these (disbelievers) reject you, then the people of Nuh (Noah) and ‘Ad and Thamud (also) denied (their Prophets),

42. Wain yukaththibooka faqad kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin waAAadun wathamoodu

42. Og hvis de (vantro) forsverger deg, så forsverget også Noahs folk, og ‛Ād og Thamōd (sine sendebud) før dem også,

42. और अगर ये (कुफ्फार) आपको झुटलाते हैं तो उनसे पहले क़ौमे नूह और आदो समूद ने भी (अपने रसूलों को) झुटलाया था।

৪২. আর যদি এ সকল (কাফের) আপনাকে মিথ্যাপ্রতিপন্ন করে, তবে তাদের পূর্বে নূহ (আলাইহিস সালাম), ’আদ এবং সামূদের সম্প্রদায়ও (তাদের রাসূলগণকে) মিথ্যাপ্রতিপন্ন করেছিল।
