Surah al-Hijr with English Translation

61. پھر جب لوط (علیہ السلام) کے خاندان کے پاس وہ فرستادہ (فرشتے) آئےo

61. So when the messengers came to Lut’s family,

61. Then, when those deputed (angels) came to the house of Lut (Lot),

61. Falamma jaa ala lootin almursaloona

61. Da utsendingene (englene) kom til Lots familie,

61. फिर जब लूत (अ़लैहिस्सलाम) के ख़ानदान के पास वोह फिरस्तादा (फरिश्ते) आए।

৬১. অতঃপর যখন লূত (আলাইহিস সালাম)-এঁর ঘরে সে প্রেরিত (ফেরেশতারা) এলো

فلما جاء آل لوط المرسلون

62. لوط (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: بیشک تم اجنبی لوگ (معلوم ہوتے) ہوo

62. he (Lut) said: ‘Indeed, you are an unfamiliar people.’

62. Lut (Lot) said: ‘Indeed, you are (looking) strangers.’

62. Qala innakum qawmun munkaroona

62. sa Lot: «Sannelig, dere er (virker som) fremmedfolk.»

62. लूत (अ़लैहिस्सलाम) ने कहा: बेशक तुम अजनबी लोग (मा’ लूम होते) हो।

,৬২. লূত (আলাইহিস সালাম) বললেন, ‘নিশ্চয়ই (মনে হচ্ছে) তোমরা অপরিচিত লোক’।

قال إنكم قوم منكرون

63. انہوں نے کہا: (ایسا نہیں) بلکہ ہم آپ کے پاس وہ (عذاب) لے کر آئے ہیں جس میں یہ لوگ شک کرتے رہے ہیںo

63. They said: ‘Rather, we have come to you with (the punishment) that they used to doubt.

63. They said: ‘(No indeed;) in fact we have come to you with the (punishment) about which these people have had doubts.

63. Qaloo bal jinaka bima kanoo feehi yamtaroona

63. Englene sa: «(Nei, sannelig!), faktisk er vi kommet til deg med den (pinen) som dette folk har tvilt på.

63. उन्होंने कहा: (ऐसा नहीं) बल्कि हम आपके पास वोह (अ़ज़ाब) लेकर आए हैं जिसमें ये लोग शक करते रहे हैं।

৬৩. তাঁরা বললেন, ‘(তা নয়) বরং আমরা আপনার নিকট এসেছি যে (শাস্তির) বিষয়ে এরা সন্দেহ করতো তা নিয়ে।

قالوا بل جئناك بما كانوا فيه يمترون

64. اور ہم آپ کے پاس حق (کا فیصلہ) لے کر آئے ہیں اور ہم یقیناً سچے ہیںo

64. And we have come to you with (the judgement of) truth, and surely, we are truthful.

64. And we have brought you (the judgment of) the truth and we are certainly truthful.

64. Waataynaka bialhaqqi wainna lasadiqoona

64. Og vi har kommet til deg med sannheten (sannhetens dom), og vi er i sannhet sannferdige.

64. और हम आप के पास हक़्क़ (का फैसला) लेकर आए हैं और हम यक़ीनन सच्चे हैं।

৬৪. আর আমরা আপনার নিকট সত্য (-এর ফায়সালা) নিয়ে আগমন করেছি এবং আমরা অবশ্যই সত্যবাদী।

وأتيناك بالحق وإنا لصادقون

65. Set out with your family (and followers) during the darkness of the night, and you should follow behind them, and none of you should turn around. And keep proceeding as you are commanded.’

65. So set off with your family sometime during the night, and follow them in the rear, and none of you should (even) look back, and proceed to the place (where) you have been commanded.’

65. Faasri biahlika biqitAAin mina allayli waittabiAA adbarahum wala yaltafit minkum ahadun waimdoo haythu tumaroona

65. Kom deg av sted med familien din i en nattetime, og gå selv bak dem, og ingen av dere må engang snu seg for å se tilbake, og gå dit dere blir befalt om å dra.»

فأسر بأهلك بقطع من الليل واتبع أدبارهم ولا يلتفت منكم أحد وامضوا حيث تؤمرون

66. اور ہم نے لوط (علیہ السلام) کو اس فیصلہ سے بذریعہ وحی آگاہ کر دیا کہ بیشک اُن کے صبح کرتے ہی اُن لوگوں کی جڑ کٹ جائے گیo

66. We decreed this command to him, that these (people of Sodom and Gomorrah) shall be uprooted by the morning.

66. And We informed Lut (Lot) of this judgment through Revelation that the root of these people would be cut off the moment it dawns.

66. Waqadayna ilayhi thalika alamra anna dabira haolai maqtooAAun musbiheena

66. Og Vi underrettet Lot om denne avgjørelsen ved åpenbaring, at sannelig ville deres rot bli kuttet av i det øyeblikket morgenen grydde.

وقضينا إليه ذلك الأمر أن دابر هؤلاء مقطوع مصبحين

67. اور اہلِ شہر (اپنی بد مستی میں) خوشیاں مناتے ہوئے (لوط علیہ السلام کے پاس) آپہنچےo

67. And the people of the town came (to Lut’s house) rejoicing.

67. And the people of the city (possessed by their lust) approached (Lut [Lot]), rejoicing.

67. Wajaa ahlu almadeenati yastabshiroona

67. Og byens folk kom frydefulle (til Lot beruset i sin lyst).

67. और अह्‌ले शहर (अपनी बद मस्ती में) ख़ुशियां मनाते हुए (लूत अ़लैहिस्सलाम के पास) आ पहुंचे।

৬৭. আর শহরের অধিবাসীরা (নিজেদের মত্ততায়) আনন্দ উল্লাস করতে করতে (লূত আলাইহিস সালামের নিকট) এসে পৌঁছল।

وجاء أهل المدينة يستبشرون

68. لوط (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: بیشک یہ لوگ میرے مہمان ہیں پس تم مجھے (اِن کے بارے میں) شرم سار نہ کروo

68. He said: ‘Surely, these are my guests, so do not embarrass me (regarding them).
