Surah al-Hijr with English Translation

80. اور بیشک وادئ حجر کے باشندوں نے بھی رسولوں کو جھٹلایاo

80. Indeed, the inhabitants of al-Hijr (the Rocky Plain, also) denied the messengers.

80. And no doubt, the people of the valley of al-Hijr (the Rock) too denied the Messengers.

80. Walaqad kaththaba ashabu alhijri almursaleena

80. Og sannelig, også steinområdets dals folk forsverget sendebudene.

80. और बेशक वादिए हिज्र के बाशिन्दों ने भी रसूलों को झुटलाया।

৮০. আর নিশ্চয়ই হিজর উপত্যকার বাসিন্দারাও রাসূলগণকে মিথ্যাপ্রতিপন্ন করেছিল।

ولقد كذب أصحاب الحجر المرسلين

81. اور ہم نے انہیں (بھی) اپنی نشانیاں دیں مگر وہ ان سے رُوگردانی کرتے رہےo

81. And We had given them Our signs, but they turned away from them.

81. And We (also) bestowed upon them Our signs, but they persisted in turning away from them.

81. Waataynahum ayatina fakanoo AAanha muAArideena

81. Og Vi ga dem Våre tegn, men de vendte seg stadig bort fra dem.

81. और हमने उन्हें (भी) अपनी निशानियां दीं मगर वोह उनसे रूगर्दानी करते रहे।

৮১. আর আমরা তাদেরকে(ও) আমার নিদর্শনাবলী দিয়েছিলাম, কিন্তু তারা তা থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিয়েছিল।

وآتيناهم آياتنا فكانوا عنها معرضين

82. اور وہ لوگ بے خوف و خطر پہاڑوں میں گھر تراشتے تھےo

82. They used to carve out homes in the mountains, feeling secure.

82. And they used to carve out houses in the mountains without any threat and fear.

82. Wakanoo yanhitoona mina aljibali buyootan amineena

82. Og de pleide å hogge ut boliger i fjellene uten å føle seg truet.

82. और वोह लोग बे ख़ौफो ख़तर पहाड़ों में घर तराश्ते थे।

৮২. আর ওই সকল লোক নিশ্চিন্তে পর্বত খোদাই করে গৃহ নির্মাণ করতো।

وكانوا ينحتون من الجبال بيوتا آمنين

83. تو انہیں (بھی) صبح کرتے ہی خوفناک کڑک نے آپکڑاo

83. So the blast overtook them in the morning.

83. And the dreadful blast seized them (as well) the moment it dawned.

83. Faakhathathumu alssayhatu musbiheena

83. I det øyeblikket dagen grydde, ble de tatt av et forferdelig brak.

83. तो उन्हें (भी) सुब्ह करते ही ख़ौफनाक कड़क ने आ पकड़ा।

৮৩. আর তাদেরকে(ও) ভোর হতেই ভয়ানক গর্জন পেয়ে বসলো।

فأخذتهم الصيحة مصبحين

84. سو جو (مال) وہ کمایا کرتے تھے وہ ان سے (اللہ کے عذاب) کو دفع نہ کر سکاo

84. And what they used to earn could not benefit them.

84. So (the riches) they used to earn could not repel (Allah’s punishment) from them.

84. Fama aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yaksiboona

84. Det (den rikdommen) de pleide å fortjene, kunne ikke ta bort noe (Allahs pine) fra dem.

84. सो जो (माल) वोह कमाया करते थे वोह उनसे (अल्लाह के अ़ज़ाब) को दफा न कर सका।

৮৪. সুতরাং যেসব (সম্পদ) তারা অর্জন করেছিল সেসব তাদের থেকে (আল্লাহ্‌র শাস্তি) প্রতিহত করতে পারলো না।

فما أغنى عنهم ما كانوا يكسبون

85. And We did not create the heavens, the earth and whatever is between them but with a true purpose. And the Hour is surely coming. So forbear with a graceful forbearance.

85. And We have not created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them without any purpose. And the Hour of Resurrection is certainly approaching. So, (O embodiment of excellent morality,) bear with (them) most graciously and effectively with perseverance.

85. Wama khalaqna alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma illa bialhaqqi wainna alssaAAata laatiyatun faisfahi alssafha aljameela

85. Og Vi har ikke skapt himlene og jorden og alt det som mellom dem begge er, uten hensikt. Og sannelig, timen vil komme! (Kjære elskede ﷺ med den mest fortreffelige moralen!) Vis evig overbærenhet med den vakreste væremåten.

وما خلقنا السماوات والأرض وما بينهما إلا بالحق وإن الساعة لآتية فاصفح الصفح الجميل

86. بیشک آپ کا رب ہی سب کو پیدا فرمانے والا خوب جاننے والا ہےo

86. Indeed, your Lord is the All-Creator, the All-Knowing.

86. Indeed, your Lord alone is the Creator of all things, All-Knowing.

86. Inna rabbaka huwa alkhallaqu alAAaleemu

86. Sannelig, Herren din er Skaperen av alt, den Allvitende.

86. बेशक आपका रब ही सबको पैदा फरमाने वाला ख़ूब जानने वाला है।

৮৬. নিশ্চয়ই আপনার প্রতিপালকই সবকিছুর সৃষ্টিকর্তা, সম্যক অবগত।

إن ربك هو الخلاق العليم
