اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو نہایت مہربان ہمیشہ رحم فرمانے والا ہے
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Ever-Merciful

اَفَمَنۡ وَّعَدۡنٰہُ وَعۡدًا حَسَنًا فَہُوَ لَاقِیۡہِ کَمَنۡ مَّتَّعۡنٰہُ مَتَاعَ الۡحَیٰوۃِ الدُّنۡیَا ثُمَّ ہُوَ یَوۡمَ الۡقِیٰمَۃِ مِنَ الۡمُحۡضَرِیۡنَ ﴿۶۱﴾

61. کیا وہ شخص جس سے ہم نے کوئی (آخرت کا) اچھا وعدہ فرمایا ہو پھر وہ اسے پانے والا ہو جائے، اس (بدنصیب) کی مثل ہو سکتا ہے جسے ہم نے دنیوی زندگی کے سامان سے نوازا ہو پھر وہ (کفرانِ نعمت کے باعث) روزِ قیامت (عذاب کے لئے) حاضر کئے جانے والوں میں سے ہو جائے؟o

61. Can the person to whom We have given a good promise, which he will receive, be like him whom We have provided the (momentary) enjoyment in the life of this world, then, on the Day of Resurrection, he shall be among those who are summoned (to account for their deeds)?

61. Can he to whom We have made an excellent promise (pertaining to Hereafter), and who becomes one to attain to it be like the (ill-fated) one We have given the good things of worldly life, then (owing to ingratitude for the bounties) becomes of those who will be brought forth on the Last Day (for punishment)?

61. Afaman waAAadnahu waAAdan hasanan fahuwa laqeehi kaman mattaAAnahu mataAAa alhayati alddunya thumma huwa yawma alqiyamati mina almuhdareena

61. Kan vel han som Vi har gitt et utmerket løfte (om det hinsidige), og som oppnår det, være lik ham (den ulykksalige) som Vi gir jordelivets gods til, og som deretter blir blant dem som blir framstilt (for pinen takket være sin utakknemlighet) på oppstandelsens dag.

61. क्या वोह शख़्स जिससे हमने कोई (आख़िरत का) अच्छा वादा फरमाया हो फिर वोह उसे पाने वाला हो जाए, उस (बद नसीब) की मिस्ल हो सकता है जिसे हमने दुन्यवी ज़िन्दगी के सामान से नवाज़ा हो फिर वोह (कुफ्राने नेअ़मत के बाइस) रोजे क़ियामत (अ़ज़ाब के लिए) हाज़िर किए जाने वालों में से हो जाए?

৬১. যাকে আমরা (পরকালের) কোনো কল্যাণের প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছি এবং যা সে লাভ করবে, সে কি ঐ (দুর্ভাগা) ব্যক্তির ন্যায় যাকে আমরা পার্থিব জীবনের সামগ্রী প্রদান করেছি, অতঃপর (এ নিয়ামত অস্বীকারের কারণে) কিয়ামতের দিন (শাস্তির জন্যে) সে উপস্থিতদের মধ্যে গণ্য হবে?

وَ یَوۡمَ یُنَادِیۡہِمۡ فَیَقُوۡلُ اَیۡنَ شُرَکَآءِیَ الَّذِیۡنَ کُنۡتُمۡ تَزۡعُمُوۡنَ ﴿۶۲﴾

62. اور جس دن (اللہ) انہیں پکارے گا تو فرمائے گا کہ میرے وہ شریک کہاں ہیں جنہیں تم (معبود) خیال کیا کرتے تھےo

62. And on the Day, He will call out to them and say: ‘Where are My partners whom you used to claim?’

62. And the Day when (Allah) will call them and say: ‘Where are those that you regarded as My partners and considered them (gods)?’

62. Wayawma yunadeehim fayaqoolu ayna shurakaiya allatheena kuntum tazAAumoona

62. Og den dag da Han vil rope på dem, vil Han si: «Hvor er Mine (såkalte) likestilte, som dere anså (som tilbedelsesverdige)?»

62. और जिस दिन (अल्लाह) उन्हें पुकारेगा तो फरमाएगा कि मेरे वोह शरीक कहां हैं जिन्हें तुम (माबूद) ख़याल किया करते थे?

৬২. আর যেদিন (আল্লাহ্) তাদেরকে ডাকবেন, অতঃপর জিজ্ঞেস করবেন, ‘কোথায় ঐ সকল অংশীদারেরা যাদেরকে তোমরা (উপাস্য) গণ্য করতে?’
(al-Qasas, 28 : 62)

قَالَ الَّذِیۡنَ حَقَّ عَلَیۡہِمُ الۡقَوۡلُ رَبَّنَا ہٰۤؤُلَآءِ الَّذِیۡنَ اَغۡوَیۡنَا ۚ اَغۡوَیۡنٰہُمۡ کَمَا غَوَیۡنَا ۚ تَبَرَّاۡنَاۤ اِلَیۡکَ ۫ مَا کَانُوۡۤا اِیَّانَا یَعۡبُدُوۡنَ ﴿۶۳﴾

63. وہ لوگ جن پر (عذاب کا) فرمان ثابت ہو چکا کہیں گے: اے ہمارے رب! یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن کو ہم نے گمراہ کیا تھا ہم نے انہیں (اسی طرح) گمراہ کیا تھا جس طرح ہم (خود) گمراہ ہوئے تھے، ہم ان سے بیزاری ظاہر کرتے ہوئے تیری طرف متوجہ ہوتے ہیں اور وہ (درحقیقت) ہماری پرستش نہیں کرتے تھے (بلکہ اپنی نفسانی خواہشات کے پجاری تھے)o

63. Those (deviant leaders) against whom the decree (of torment) will be passed will say: ‘Our Lord! These (followers) are the ones whom we caused to deviate. We led them into deviance, for we were deviant ourselves. We disassociate ourselves (from them) before You. It was not us whom they worshipped. (Rather they worshipped their lusts).’

63. The people against whom the command (of torment) has been proved will say: ‘O our Lord, it is these people who we misguided. We led them astray (the same way) as we (ourselves) lost the right path. We turn to You showing our disgust towards them and (in fact) they did not worship us. (They rather worshipped their lusts.)’

63. Qala allatheena haqqa AAalayhimu alqawlu rabbana haolai allatheena aghwayna aghwaynahum kama ghawayna tabarrana ilayka ma kanoo iyyana yaAAbudoona

63. De som ordet (pinens ord) er blitt fastslått over, vil si: «Herren vår! Disse er de som vi forvillet, vi forvillet dem slik som vi selv ble villfarne. Vi finner dem motbydelige og henvender oss til Deg. De tilba ikke oss (i virkeligheten, derimot var de tilbedere av sine egne lyster)!»

63. वोह लोग जिन पर (अ़ज़ाब का) फरमान साबित हो चुका कहेंगे: ऐ हमारे रब! येही वोह लोग हैं जिनको हमने गुमराह किया था हमने उन्हें (इसी तरह) गुमराह किया था जिस तरह हम (ख़ुद) गुमराह हुए थे, हम उनसे बेज़ारी ज़ाहिर करते हुए तेरी तरफ मुतवज्जे होते हैं और वोह (दर हक़ीक़त) हमारी परस्तिश नहीं करते थे (बल्कि अपनी नफ्सानी ख़्वाहिशात के पुजारी थे) ।

৬৩. যাদের বিরুদ্ধে (শাস্তির) নির্দেশ অবধারিত হয়েছে তারা বলবে, ‘হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! এরাই সেসব লোক যাদেরকে আমরা বিভ্রান্ত করেছিলাম, আমরা তাদেরকে (সেভাবে) বিভ্রান্ত করেছিলাম যেভাবে আমরা (নিজেরা) বিভ্রান্ত হয়েছিলাম। আমরা তাদের প্রতি অসন্তুষ্টি প্রকাশ করে আপনার দিকে ফিরছি। আর তারা (প্রকৃতপক্ষে) আমাদের উপাসনা করতো না (বরং নিজেদের কুপ্রবৃত্তির পূজা করতো)।’
(al-Qasas, 28 : 63)

وَ قِیۡلَ ادۡعُوۡا شُرَکَآءَکُمۡ فَدَعَوۡہُمۡ فَلَمۡ یَسۡتَجِیۡبُوۡا لَہُمۡ وَ رَاَوُا الۡعَذَابَ ۚ لَوۡ اَنَّہُمۡ کَانُوۡا یَہۡتَدُوۡنَ ﴿۶۴﴾

64. اور (ان سے) کہا جائے گا: تم اپنے (خود ساختہ) شریکوں کو بلاؤ، سو وہ انہیں پکاریں گے پس وہ (شریک) انہیں کوئی جواب نہ دیں گے اور وہ لوگ عذاب کو دیکھ لیں گے، کاش! وہ (دنیا میں) راہِ ہدایت پا چکے ہوتےo

64. It will be said (to the disbelievers): ‘Invoke your (self-made) partner-gods (for help)!’ So they will invoke them, but they will not respond to them. And they will see the punishment, wishing they had followed guidance!

64. And it will be said (to them): ‘Call your (self-made) partners.’ So they will call them but they (the partners) will not respond to them and those people will see the torment. Would that they had taken guidance (in the world)!

64. Waqeela odAAoo shurakaakum fadaAAawhum falam yastajeeboo lahum waraawoo alAAathaba law annahum kanoo yahtadoona

64. Og det vil bli sagt (til dem): «Rop på deres (selvlagde) likestilte (med Allah)!» De vil rope på dem, men de vil ikke svare dem, og de vil få se pinen. Om de bare hadde tatt til seg rettledningen (i verden).

64. और (उनसे) कहा जाएगा तुम अपने (खु़द साख़्ता) शरीकों को बुलाओ सो वोह उन्हें पुकारेंगे पस वोह (शरीक) उन्हें कोई जवाब न देंगे और वोह लोग अ़ज़ाब को देख लेंगे काश! वोह (दुन्या में) राहे हिदायत पा चुके होते।

৬৪. আর (তাদেরকে) বলা হবে, ‘তোমাদের (মনগড়া) অংশীদারদেরকে আহ্বান করো’; অতঃপর তারা তাদেরকে আহ্বান করবে, কিন্তু এরা তাদের আহ্বানে সাড়া দেবে না। তারা শাস্তি অবলোকন করবে। হায়! যদি তারা (পৃথিবীতে) হেদায়াতের পথ লাভ করতো!

وَ رَبُّکَ یَخۡلُقُ مَا یَشَآءُ وَ یَخۡتَارُ ؕ مَا کَانَ لَہُمُ الۡخِیَرَۃُ ؕ سُبۡحٰنَ اللّٰہِ وَ تَعٰلٰی عَمَّا یُشۡرِکُوۡنَ ﴿۶۸﴾

68. اور آپ کا رب جو چاہتا ہے پیدا فرماتا ہے اور (جسے چاہتا ہے نبوت اور حقِ شفاعت سے نوازنے کے لئے) منتخب فرما لیتا ہے، ان (منکر اور مشرک) لوگوں کو (اس امر میں) کوئی مرضی اور اختیار حاصل نہیں ہے۔ اللہ پاک ہے اور بالاتر ہے ان (باطل معبودوں) سے جنہیں وہ (اللہ کا) شریک گردانتے ہیں۔o

68. And your Lord creates whatever He wishes and chooses. They have no choice. Glory be to Allah, and Exalted is He above any partners they ascribe (to Him).

68. And your Lord creates whatever He wills and chooses (whom He pleases for Prophethood and for the right of intercession). These (disbelievers and polytheists) have no authority or choice (in this matter). Holy is Allah the Glorious and Exalted, far above (the false gods) that they associate as partners (with Allah)!

68. Warabbuka yakhluqu ma yashao wayakhtaru ma kana lahumu alkhiyaratu subhana Allahi wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona

68. Og Herren din skaper hva Han enn vil, og utvelger (den Han vil, for profetskapet og retten til forbønn). De (fornekterne og flergudsdyrkerne) har ingen autoritet (i denne bestemmelsen). Hellig er Allah og langt mer høytstående enn de (avgudene) som de likestiller (med Ham)!

68. और आपका रब जो चाहता है पैदा फरमाता है और (जिसे चाहता है नुबुव्वत और हक़्के़ शफाअ़त से नवाज़ने के लिए) मुन्तख़ब फरमा लेता है, उन (मुन्किर और मुश्रिक) लोगों को (उस अम्र में) कोई मर्ज़ी और इख़्तियार हासिल नहीं है। अल्लाह पाक है और बाला तर है उन (बातिल माबूदों) से जिन्हें वोह (अल्लाह का) शरीक गरदान्ते हैं।

৬৮. আর আপনার প্রতিপালক যা ইচ্ছা সৃষ্টি করেন এবং (যাকে চান নবুয়্যত এবং শাফায়াতের অধিকারের জন্যে) মনোনীত করেন; এতে সেসব (কাফের ও মুশরিক) লোকদের কোনো কর্তৃত্ব বা অভিমত নেই। আল্লাহ্ পবিত্র ও সমুন্নত সেসব (বাতিল উপাস্য) থেকে যাদেরকে তারা (আল্লাহ্‌র) অংশীদার সাব্যস্ত করে।

وَ ہُوَ اللّٰہُ لَاۤ اِلٰہَ اِلَّا ہُوَ ؕ لَہُ الۡحَمۡدُ فِی الۡاُوۡلٰی وَ الۡاٰخِرَۃِ ۫ وَ لَہُ الۡحُکۡمُ وَ اِلَیۡہِ تُرۡجَعُوۡنَ ﴿۷۰﴾

70. اور وہی اللہ ہے اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ دنیا اور آخرت میں ساری تعریفیں اسی کے لئے ہیں، اور (حقیقی) حکم و فرمانروائی (بھی) اسی کی ہے اور تم اسی کی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گےo

70. And He is Allah—there is no god except Him. All praise belongs to Him in this world and the Hereafter. (Final) judgement belongs to Him. And to Him, you shall be returned.

70. And He alone is Allah; apart from Him there is no God. All praise belongs to Him in the world and in the Hereafter. And His alone is the (true) command and rule and to Him alone will you be returned.

70. Wahuwa Allahu la ilaha illa huwa lahu alhamdu fee aloola waalakhirati walahu alhukmu wailayhi turjaAAoona

70. Og Han er Allah! Ingen er tilbedelsesverdig unntatt Han. Ham alene tilhører all pris i verden og det hinsidige, og Ham alene tilhører (den ekte) befalingen og herredømmet, og til Ham vil dere bli brakt tilbake.

70. और वोही अल्लाह है उसके सिवा कोई माबूद नहीं। दुन्या और आख़िरत में सारी तारीफें उसी के लिए हैं, और (हक़ीक़ी) हुक्मो फरमां रवाई (भी) उसी की है और तुम उसी की तरफ लौटाए जाओगे।

৭০. আর তিনিই আল্লাহ্, তিনি ব্যতীত কোনো উপাস্য নেই। ইহকাল এবং পরকালে সকল প্রশংসা তাঁরই জন্যে। আর (প্রকৃত) আধিপত্য এবং শাসনক্ষমতা(ও) তাঁরই। আর তোমরা তাঁরই দিকে প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে।

قُلۡ اَرَءَیۡتُمۡ اِنۡ جَعَلَ اللّٰہُ عَلَیۡکُمُ الَّیۡلَ سَرۡمَدًا اِلٰی یَوۡمِ الۡقِیٰمَۃِ مَنۡ اِلٰہٌ غَیۡرُ اللّٰہِ یَاۡتِیۡکُمۡ بِضِیَآءٍ ؕ اَفَلَا تَسۡمَعُوۡنَ ﴿۷۱﴾

71. فرما دیجئے: ذرا اتنا بتاؤ کہ اگر اللہ تمہارے اوپر روزِ قیامت تک ہمیشہ رات طاری فرما دے (تو) اللہ کے سوا کون معبود ہے جو تمہیں روشنی لا دے۔ کیا تم (یہ باتیں) سنتے نہیں ہوo

71. Say: ‘Tell me: If Allah were to make the night perpetual over you till the Day of Resurrection, what god besides Allah could bring you light? Will you not then listen?’

71. Say: ‘Just answer: If Allah prolongs the night over you till the Day of Resurrection, (then) what god is there besides Allah who will bring you light? Do you not hear (these words)?’

71. Qul araaytum in jaAAala Allahu AAalaykumu allayla sarmadan ila yawmi alqiyamati man ilahun ghayru Allahi yateekum bidiyain afala tasmaAAoona

71. Si: «Vel, si meg! Hvis Allah skulle ha satt over dere natten for evig til oppstandelsens dag, hvem er tilbedelsesverdig utenom Allah, som kan bringe dere lys? Hører dere da ikke (disse ordene)?»

71. फरमा दीजिए: ज़रा इतना बताओकि अगर अल्लाह तुम्हारे ऊपर रोज़े क़ियामत तक हमेशा रात तारी फरमा दे (तो) अल्लाह के सिवा कौन माबूद है जो तुम्हें रौशनी ला दे। क्या तुम (ये बातें) सुनते नहीं हो?

৭১. বলে দিন, ‘অন্তত এটুকু বলো তো, যদি আল্লাহ্ তোমাদের উপর কিয়ামত পর্যন্ত সর্বদা রাতকে স্থায়ী করেন, (তবে) আল্লাহ্ ব্যতীত কোন্ উপাস্য আছে যে তোমাদের জন্যে আলো এনে দেবে? তোমরা কি (এসব) শুনতে পাচ্ছো না?’
(al-Qasas, 28 : 71)

قُلۡ اَرَءَیۡتُمۡ اِنۡ جَعَلَ اللّٰہُ عَلَیۡکُمُ النَّہَارَ سَرۡمَدًا اِلٰی یَوۡمِ الۡقِیٰمَۃِ مَنۡ اِلٰہٌ غَیۡرُ اللّٰہِ یَاۡتِیۡکُمۡ بِلَیۡلٍ تَسۡکُنُوۡنَ فِیۡہِ ؕ اَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُوۡنَ ﴿۷۲﴾

72. فرما دیجئے: ذرا یہ (بھی) بتاؤ کہ اگر اللہ تمہارے اوپر روزِ قیامت تک ہمیشہ دن طاری فرما دے (تو) اللہ کے سوا کون معبود ہے جو تمہیں رات لا دے کہ تم اس میں آرام کر سکو، کیا تم دیکھتے نہیں ہوo

72. Say: ‘Tell me: If Allah were to make the day perpetual over you till the Day of Resurrection, what god besides Allah could bring you night, in which you could rest? Will you not then see?’

72. Say: ‘Just tell me this (as well): If Allah prolongs the day over you till the Day of Resurrection, (then) what god is there besides Allah who will bring you night in which you may take rest? Do you not see?’

72. Qul araaytum in jaAAala Allahu AAalaykumu alnnahara sarmadan ila yawmi alqiyamati man ilahun ghayru Allahi yateekum bilaylin taskunoona feehi afala tubsiroona

72. Si: «Vel, si meg også! Hvis Allah skulle ha satt over dere dagen for evig til oppstandelsens dag, hvem er tilbedelsesverdig utenom Allah, som kan bringe dere natten for at dere kan hvile i den? Ser dere da ikke?»

72. फरमा दीजिए: ज़रा ये (भी) बताओ कि अगर अल्लाह तुम्हारे ऊपर रोजे़ क़ियामत तक हमेशा दिन तारी फरमा दे (तो) अल्लाह के सिवा कौन माबूद है जो तुम्हें रात ला दे कि तुम उसमें आराम कर सको, क्या तुम देखते नहीं हो?

৭২. বলে দিন, ‘অন্তত এটুকু(ও) বলো যে, যদি আল্লাহ্ তোমাদের জন্যে কিয়ামত পর্যন্ত সর্বদা দিনকে স্থায়ী করেন, (তবে) আল্লাহ্ ব্যতীত কোন্ উপাস্য আছে, যে তোমাদের জন্যে রাত নিয়ে আসবে, তোমরা কি দেখছো না?’
(al-Qasas, 28 : 72)

وَ مِنۡ رَّحۡمَتِہٖ جَعَلَ لَکُمُ الَّیۡلَ وَ النَّہَارَ لِتَسۡکُنُوۡا فِیۡہِ وَ لِتَبۡتَغُوۡا مِنۡ فَضۡلِہٖ وَ لَعَلَّکُمۡ تَشۡکُرُوۡنَ ﴿۷۳﴾

73. اور اس نے اپنی رحمت سے تمہارے لئے رات اور دن کو بنایا تاکہ تم رات میں آرام کرو اور (دن میں) اس کا فضل (روزی) تلاش کرسکو اور تاکہ تم شکر گزار بنوo

73. Out of His mercy, He has made for you the night and the day that you may rest therein and seek from His grace so that you may be grateful.

73. And it is out of His mercy that He has made night and day for you so that at night you may take rest and (during the day) you may seek His bounty (sustenance) and so that you may become grateful.

73. Wamin rahmatihi jaAAala lakumu allayla waalnnahara litaskunoo feehi walitabtaghoo min fadlihi walaAAallakum tashkuroona

73. Og fra Sin nåde skapte Han for dere natten og dagen, for at dere skal kunne hvile om natten, og for at dere skal kunne søke Hans velvilje (midler til livets opphold om dagen), og slik at dere må bli takknemlige.

73. और उसने अपनी रहमत से तुम्हारे लिए रात और दिन को बनाया ताकि तुम रात में आराम करो और (दिन में) उसका फज़्ल (रोज़ी) तलाश कर सको और ताकि तुम शुक्र गुज़ार बनो।

৭৩. আর তিনি স্বীয় অনুগ্রহে তোমাদের জন্যে করেছেন রজনী এবং দিবস যাতে তোমরা রজনীতে বিশ্রাম করতে পারো এবং (দিবসে) তাঁর অনুগ্রহ (জীবিকা) অন্বেষণ করতে পারো এবং যাতে তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করো।

وَ نَزَعۡنَا مِنۡ کُلِّ اُمَّۃٍ شَہِیۡدًا فَقُلۡنَا ہَاتُوۡا بُرۡہَانَکُمۡ فَعَلِمُوۡۤا اَنَّ الۡحَقَّ لِلّٰہِ وَ ضَلَّ عَنۡہُمۡ مَّا کَانُوۡا یَفۡتَرُوۡنَ ﴿٪۷۵﴾

75. اور ہم ہر امت سے ایک گواہ نکالیں گے پھر ہم (کفار سے) کہیں گے کہ تم اپنی دلیل لاؤ تو وہ جان لیں گے کہ سچ بات اللہ ہی کی ہے اور ان سے وہ سب (باتیں) جاتی رہیں گی جو وہ جھوٹ باندھا کرتے تھےo

75. And We shall draw from every community a witness and say: ‘Produce your evidence.’ Then they will know that all truth belongs to Allah, and what they used to fabricate will depart from them.

75. And We shall take out from every community a witness, and We shall then say (to the disbelievers): ‘Bring your proof.’ Then they will know that the truth belongs to Allah, and all (the lies) they used to invent will disappear from them.

75. WanazaAAna min kulli ommatin shaheedan faqulna hatoo burhanakum faAAalimoo anna alhaqqa lillahi wadalla AAanhum ma kanoo yaftaroona

75. Og Vi vil trekke fram et vitne fra ethvert samfunn. Derpå vil Vi si (til de vantro): «Bring deres bevis!» Da vil de vite at sannheten tilhører Allah, og borte vekk fra dem vil alle de (løgnene) som de pleide å oppdikte, være.

75. और हम हर उम्मत से एक गवाह निकालेंगे फिर हम (कुफ्फार से) कहेंगे कि तुम अपनी दलील लाओ तो वोह जान लेंगे कि सच बात अल्लाह ही की है और उनसे वोह सब (बातें) जाती रहेंगी जो वोह झूट बांधा करते थे।

৭৫. আর আমরা প্রত্যেক উম্মত থেকে একজন সাক্ষী দাঁড় করাবো, অতঃপর (কাফেরদেরকে) বলবো, ‘তোমাদের প্রমাণ উপস্থিত করো’; তখন তারা জানতে পারবে যে, সত্য আল্লাহ্‌রই। আর তাদের থেকে সেসব (মিথ্যা) দূরীভুত হয়ে যাবে যা তারা উদ্ভাবন করতো।
