اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو نہایت مہربان ہمیشہ رحم فرمانے والا ہے
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Ever-Merciful

اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ تَوَفّٰہُمُ الۡمَلٰٓئِکَۃُ ظَالِمِیۡۤ اَنۡفُسِہِمۡ قَالُوۡا فِیۡمَ کُنۡتُمۡ ؕ قَالُوۡا کُنَّا مُسۡتَضۡعَفِیۡنَ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ قَالُوۡۤا اَلَمۡ تَکُنۡ اَرۡضُ اللّٰہِ وَاسِعَۃً فَتُہَاجِرُوۡا فِیۡہَا ؕ فَاُولٰٓئِکَ مَاۡوٰىہُمۡ جَہَنَّمُ ؕ وَ سَآءَتۡ مَصِیۡرًا ﴿ۙ۹۷﴾

97. بیشک جن لوگوں کی روح فرشتے اس حال میں قبض کرتے ہیں کہ وہ (کفر و فسق کے ماحول میں رہ کر) اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرنے والے ہیں (تو) وہ ان سے دریافت کرتے ہیں کہ تم کس حال میں تھے (تم نے اپنے دین اور ایمان کی حفاظت کی نہ سرزمین کفر و فسق کو چھوڑا)؟ وہ (معذرۃً) کہتے ہیں کہ ہم زمین میں کمزور و بے بس تھے، فرشتے (جواباً) کہتے ہیں: کیا اللہ کی زمین فراخ نہ تھی کہ تم اس میں (کہیں) ہجرت کر جاتے، سو یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن کا ٹھکانا جہنم ہے، اور وہ بہت ہی برا ٹھکانا ہےo

97. When the angels take the souls of those who wrong themselves, they ask (them): ‘What circumstances were you in?’ They reply: ‘We were oppressed in this land.’ The angels say: ‘Was not Allah’s earth wide enough so that you might have migrated in it?’ These people will have Hell as their refuge, and it is an evil destination.

97. Indeed, those whose lives the angels take in such a state that (due to living in an environment of disbelief and dissension) they have ruined their souls, the angels ask them: ‘What condition were you in? (You neither protected your Din [Religion] and faith, nor left the land of disbelief and dissension.)’ They (regretfully) reply: ‘We were powerless and helpless in the land.’ The angels will say: ‘Was Allah’s earth not vast enough for you to migrate in it (somewhere)?’ So it is they whose abode is Hell, and what an evil abode that is!

97. Inna allatheena tawaffahumu almalaikatu thalimee anfusihim qaloo feema kuntum qaloo kunna mustadAAafeena fee alardi qaloo alam takun ardu Allahi wasiAAatan fatuhajiroo feeha faolaika mawahum jahannamu wasaat maseeran

97. Sannelig, de hvis sjel blir tatt av englene i en tilstand der de gjør sin egen sjel ondt, og englene spør dem: «I hvilken tilstand var dere (dere verken satset for levemåten islams fotfeste eller forlot stridighetens hjem for rettferdighetens og fredens hjem)?» De svarer (for å bli fritatt for skyld): «Vi var maktesløse og hjelpeløse i landet!» Englene vil svare: «Var da ikke Allahs jord vidstrakt nok til at dere kunne utvandre i den (et eller annet sted)?» Disse er de hvis bolig vil være helvete, og det er en svært elendig avslutning på ferden.

97. बेशक जिन लोगों की रूह फरिश्ते इस हाल में क़ब्ज़ करते हैं कि वोह (कुफ्रो फिस्क़ के माहौल में रहकर) अपनी जानों पर ज़ुल्म करने वाले हैं (तो) वोह उनसे दर्याफ्त करते हैं कि तुम किस हाल में थे (तुमने अपने दीन और ईमान की हिफा़ज़त की न सरज़मीने कुफ्रो फिस्क़ को छोड़ा) ? वोह (मा’ज़ेरतन) कहते हैं कि हम ज़मीन में कमज़ोरो बेबस थे, फरिश्ते (जवाबन) कहते हैं: क्या अल्लाह की ज़मीन फराख न थी कि तुम उसमें (कहीं) हिजरत कर जाते, सो येही वोह लोग हैं जिनका ठिकाना जहन्नम है, और वोह बहुत ही बुरा ठिकाना हैं।

৯৭. নিশ্চয়ই ফেরেশতাগণ যাদের প্রাণ এ অবস্থায় হরণ করে যে, তারা (কুফরী ও পাপাচারে নিবিষ্ট থেকে) নিজেদের প্রতি যুলুম করেছে, (তখন) তারা তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করে, ‘তোমরা কেমন অবস্থায় ছিলে (তোমরা না তোমাদের দ্বীন ও ঈমান রক্ষা করেছো, আর না কুফরী ও পাপ-পংকিল ভুমি ছেড়ে এসেছো)?’ তারা (অযুহাত স্বরূপ) বলবে, ‘পৃথিবীতে আমরা দুর্বল ও অসহায় ছিলাম’। ফেরেশতারা (প্রতিউত্তরে) বলবে, ‘আল্লাহ্‌র জমিন কি প্রশস্ত ছিল না যে তোমরা এতে (কোথাও) হিজরত করে চলে যেতে?’ সুতরাং তারাই সেসব লোক যাদের ঠিকানা জাহান্নাম, আর তা খুবই নিকৃষ্ট ঠিকানা!

اِلَّا الۡمُسۡتَضۡعَفِیۡنَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَ النِّسَآءِ وَ الۡوِلۡدَانِ لَا یَسۡتَطِیۡعُوۡنَ حِیۡلَۃً وَّ لَا یَہۡتَدُوۡنَ سَبِیۡلًا ﴿ۙ۹۸﴾

98. سوائے ان واقعی مجبور و بے بس مردوں اور عورتوں اور بچوں کے، جو نہ کسی تدبیر پر قدرت رکھتے ہیں اور نہ (وہاں سے نکلنے کا) کوئی راستہ جانتے ہیںo

98. Except the helpless from among the men, women and children who have neither access to any means nor are they guided to a way (to escape).

98. Except for those really helpless men, women and children who neither are capable to make any plan, nor do they know any way (to escape from there).

98. Illa almustadAAafeena mina alrrijali waalnnisai waalwildani la yastateeAAoona heelatan wala yahtadoona sabeelan

98. Unntatt er de mennene og kvinnene og barna som virkelig er undertrykket og hjelpeløse, som verken er kapable til å tenke ut en plan eller kjenner til noen utvei (for å komme seg ut).

98. सिवाए उन वाक़ई मजबूरो बेबस मर्दों और औरतों और बच्चों के, जो न किसी तद्‌बीर पर क़ुदरत रखते हैं और न (वहां से निकलने का) कोई रास्ता जानते हैं।

৯৮. তবে সেসব প্রকৃত নিরূপায় ও অসহায় পুরুষ, নারী এবং শিশুরা ব্যতীত যারা না কোনো উপায় অবলম্বন করতে পারে, আর না (সেখান থেকে বের হবার) কোনো পথ পায়;

وَ مَنۡ یُّہَاجِرۡ فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ یَجِدۡ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ مُرٰغَمًا کَثِیۡرًا وَّ سَعَۃً ؕ وَ مَنۡ یَّخۡرُجۡ مِنۡۢ بَیۡتِہٖ مُہَاجِرًا اِلَی اللّٰہِ وَ رَسُوۡلِہٖ ثُمَّ یُدۡرِکۡہُ الۡمَوۡتُ فَقَدۡ وَقَعَ اَجۡرُہٗ عَلَی اللّٰہِ ؕ وَ کَانَ اللّٰہُ غَفُوۡرًا رَّحِیۡمًا ﴿۱۰۰﴾٪

100. اور جو کوئی اللہ کی راہ میں گھر بار چھوڑ کرنکلے وہ زمین میں (ہجرت کے لئے) بہت سی جگہیں اور (معاش کے لئے) کشائش پائے گا، اور جو شخص بھی اپنے گھر سے اللہ اور اس کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی طرف ہجرت کرتے ہوئے نکلے پھر اسے (راستے میں ہی) موت آپکڑے تو اس کا اجر اللہ کے ذمے ثابت ہو گیا، اور اللہ بڑا بخشنے والا مہربان ہےo

100. Whoever migrates in the way of Allah will find many havens and abundant provisions on the earth. And whoever leaves his home migrating towards Allah and His Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him), and death overtakes him (on the way), his reward is certainly incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is Most-Forgiving, All-Merciful.

100. And he who emigrates leaving his home in the way of Allah will find (for hijra—migration) many places in the earth and plentiful provision (for sustenance), and he who leaves his home, migrating towards Allah and His Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him), and then death overtakes him (on the way), his reward with Allah is ensured and Allah is Most Forgiving, Ever-Merciful.

100. Waman yuhajir fee sabeeli Allahi yajid fee alardi muraghaman katheeran wasaAAatan waman yakhruj min baytihi muhajiran ila Allahi warasoolihi thumma yudrikhu almawtu faqad waqaAAa ajruhu AAala Allahi wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman

100. Og den som forlater huset sitt for Allahs sak, vil finne mange steder på jorden (å utvandre til) og rikelig forsyning (av midler til livets opphold). Og den som forlater huset sitt ved å utvandre til Allah og Sendebudet Hans (ﷺ), men blir innhentet av døden (på veien), hans belønning blir Allahs ansvar, og Allah er mest tilgivende, evig nåderik.

100. और जो कोई अल्लाह की राह में घरबार छोड़कर निकले वोह ज़मीन में (हिजरत के लिए) बहुत सी जगहें और (मआश के लिए) कशाइश पाएगा, और जो शख़्स भी अपने घर से अल्लाह और उसके रसूल (सल्लल्लाहु अ़लैहि व सल्लम) की तरफ हिजरत करते हुए निकले फिर उसे (रास्ते में ही) मौत आ पकड़े तो उसका अज्र अल्लाह के ज़िम्मे साबित हो गया, और अल्लाह बड़ा बख़्शने वाला मेहरबान है।

১০০.আর যে আল্লাহ্‌র পথে গৃহ ত্যাগ করে, সে (হিজরতের জন্যে) পৃথিবীতে বহু স্থান এবং (জীবনযাত্রার) অনেক উপকরণ লাভ করবে। আর যে ব্যক্তিই নিজ গৃহ থেকে আল্লাহ্ ও তাঁর রাসূল (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া আলিহী ওয়াসাল্লাম)-এঁর উদ্দেশ্যে হিজরত করে, অতঃপর (পথেই) তার মৃত্যু ঘটে, তবে তার প্রতিদান আল্লাহ্‌র কাছে নিশ্চিত। আর আল্লাহ্ মহাক্ষমাশীল, অসীম দয়ালু।
