اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو نہایت مہربان ہمیشہ رحم فرمانے والا ہے
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Ever-Merciful

فِیۡ بِضۡعِ سِنِیۡنَ ۬ؕ لِلّٰہِ الۡاَمۡرُ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ وَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدُ ؕ وَ یَوۡمَئِذٍ یَّفۡرَحُ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ۙ﴿۴﴾

4. چند ہی سال میں (یعنی دس سال سے کم عرصہ میں)، اَمر تو اللہ ہی کا ہے پہلے (غلبۂ فارس میں) بھی اور بعد (کے غلبۂ روم میں) بھی، اور اس وقت اہلِ ایمان خوش ہوں گےo

4. within a few years. All command belongs to Allah, before and after. And on that day, the believers will rejoice,

4. In a few years (i.e., in less than a decade). The command is but Allah’s both before (in the Persian dominance) and afterwards too (in the Roman dominance). And the believers will rejoice on that day,

4. Fee bidAAi sineena lillahi alamru min qablu wamin baAAdu wayawmaithin yafrahu almuminoona

4. om noen få år (i løpet av en periode på mindre enn ti år). Befalingen tilhører Allah alene både før (persernes overtak) og etter (romernes overtak). Og de troende vil være frydefulle på den dagen,

4. चन्द ही साल में (यानी दस साल से कम अ़र्से में), अम्र तो अल्लाह ही का है पहले (ग़ल्बए फारस में) भी और बाद (के ग़ल्बए रूम में) भी, और उस वक़्त अह्‌ले ईमान ख़ुश होंगे।

৪. কয়েক বছরের মধ্যেই (অর্থাৎ দশ বছরের কম সময়ের মধ্যে)। নির্দেশ তো আল্লাহ্‌রই (পারস্যদের আধিপত্যের) পূর্বেও এবং (রোমানদের আধিপত্যের) পরেও। আর সেদিন মুমিনগণ হর্ষোৎফুল্ল হবে

اَوَ لَمۡ یَتَفَکَّرُوۡا فِیۡۤ اَنۡفُسِہِمۡ ۟ مَا خَلَقَ اللّٰہُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الۡاَرۡضَ وَ مَا بَیۡنَہُمَاۤ اِلَّا بِالۡحَقِّ وَ اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّی ؕ وَ اِنَّ کَثِیۡرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ بِلِقَآیِٔ رَبِّہِمۡ لَکٰفِرُوۡنَ ﴿۸﴾

8. کیا انہوں نے اپنے مَن میں کبھی غور نہیں کیا کہ اللہ نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو اور جوکچھ ان دونوں کے درمیان ہے پیدا نہیں فرمایا مگر (نظامِ) حق اور مقرّرہ مدت (کے دورانیے) کے ساتھ، اور بیشک بہت سے لوگ اپنے رب کی ملاقات کے مُنکِر ہیںo

8. Do they not reflect within themselves? Allah did not create the heavens, the earth and whatever is between them except for a true purpose and a fixed term. And yet most people disbelieve in the meeting with their Lord.

8. Have they not meditated within themselves that Allah has not created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between the two except with (a system of) truth and for a fixed term? And surely, most of the people do not believe in the meeting with their Lord.

8. Awalam yatafakkaroo fee anfusihim ma khalaqa Allahu alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma illa bialhaqqi waajalin musamman wainna katheeran mina alnnasi biliqai rabbihim lakafiroona

8. Har de da ikke noen gang gått dypt i seg selv og tenkt på at Allah ikke har skapt himlene og jorden og alt det som mellom dem begge er, uten med sannheten (sannhetens system) og (et spenn av) fastsatt tidsfrist? Og sannelig, mange blant menneskene er fornektere av møtet med Herren sin.

8. क्या उन्होंने अपने मन में कभी ग़ौर नहीं किया कि अल्लाह ने आस्मानों और ज़मीन को और जो कुछ उन दोनों के दर्मियान है पैदा नहीं फरमाया मगर (निज़ामे) हक़्क़ और मुक़र्ररा मुद्दत (के दौरानिये) के साथ, और बेशक बहुत से लोग अपने रब की मुलाक़ात के मुन्किर हैं।

৮. তারা কি নিজেদের অন্তরে কখনো ভেবে দেখেনি যে, আল্লাহ্ আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবী এবং এ দু’য়ের মাঝে যা কিছু রয়েছে তা যথাযথভাবে এবং নির্ধারিত সময়েই সৃষ্টি করেছেন? কিন্তু অধিকাংশ মানুষই তাদের প্রতিপালকের সাথে সাক্ষাতে অবিশ্বাসী।

اَوَ لَمۡ یَسِیۡرُوۡا فِی الۡاَرۡضِ فَیَنۡظُرُوۡا کَیۡفَ کَانَ عَاقِبَۃُ الَّذِیۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِہِمۡ ؕ کَانُوۡۤا اَشَدَّ مِنۡہُمۡ قُوَّۃً وَّ اَثَارُوا الۡاَرۡضَ وَ عَمَرُوۡہَاۤ اَکۡثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوۡہَا وَ جَآءَتۡہُمۡ رُسُلُہُمۡ بِالۡبَیِّنٰتِ ؕ فَمَا کَانَ اللّٰہُ لِیَظۡلِمَہُمۡ وَ لٰکِنۡ کَانُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَہُمۡ یَظۡلِمُوۡنَ ؕ﴿۹﴾

9. کیا ان لوگوں نے زمین میں سَیر و سیاحت نہیں کی تاکہ وہ دیکھ لیتے کہ ان لوگوں کا انجام کیا ہوا جو ان سے پہلے تھے، وہ لوگ اِن سے زیادہ طاقتور تھے، اور انہوں نے زمین میں زراعت کی تھی اور اسے آباد کیا تھا، اس سے کہیں بڑھ کر جس قدر اِنہوں نے زمین کو آباد کیا ہے، پھر ان کے پاس ان کے پیغمبر واضح نشانیاں لے کر آئے تھے، سو اللہ ایسا نہ تھا کہ ان پر ظلم کرتا، لیکن وہ خود ہی اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کر رہے تھےo

9. Have they not travelled in the land and seen how was the end of those before them? They were greater than them in strength. And they cultivated and developed the land more than these (Meccans) have ever developed it. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs. Allah would never have wronged them, but it was they who used to wrong themselves.

9. Have they not travelled in the earth and seen what was the end of those before them? They were more powerful than them. And they cultivated the earth, and inhabited it far more than these people have done. Then their Messengers came to them with clear signs. So Allah would not wrong them but they wronged their souls themselves.

9. Awalam yaseeroo fee alardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihim kanoo ashadda minhum quwwatan waatharoo alarda waAAamarooha akthara mimma AAamarooha wajaathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kana Allahu liyathlimahum walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona

9. Har de da ikke reist omkring på jorden og sett hva enden ble for dem som var før dem? De var sterkere enn dem i kraft, og de dyrket jorden og befolket den mye mer enn det disse befolker den. Og sendebudene deres kom til dem med innlysende tegn. Allah var ikke slik at Han skulle være ondskapsfull mot dem; derimot gjorde de mot sin egen sjel ondt.

9. क्या उन लोगों ने ज़मीन में सैरो सियाहत नहीं की ताकि वोह देख लेते कि उन लोगों का अंजाम क्या हुवा जो उनसे पहले थे, वोह लोग इनसे ज़ियादा ताक़तवर थे, और उन्होंने ज़मीन में ज़राअ़त की थी और उसे आबाद किया था, उससे कहीं बढ़कर जिस क़द्र उन्होंने ज़मीन को आबाद किया है, फिर उनके पास पैग़म्बर वाज़ेह निशानियां लेकर आए थे, सो अल्लाह ऐसा न था कि उन पर ज़ुल्म करता, लेकिन वोह ख़ुद ही अपनी जानों पर ज़ुल्म कर रहे थे।

৯. আর তারা কি পৃথিবীতে ভ্রমণ করে না, তাহলে তারা দেখতো যে, তাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের পরিণতি কেমন হয়েছিল? তারা ছিল এদের চেয়েও শক্তিশালী, তারা ভূমিতে চাষাবাদ করতো এবং তারা এদের চেয়েও বেশী পরিমাণ ভূমি আবাদ করতো যা এরা করেছে। অতঃপর তাদের নিকট তাদের রাসূলগণ সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শনসমূহ নিয়ে আগমন করেছিলেন। বস্তুত আল্লাহ্ এমন নন যে, তাদের প্রতি অন্যায় করবেন, বরং তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের প্রতি অন্যায় করেছিল।

ثُمَّ کَانَ عَاقِبَۃَ الَّذِیۡنَ اَسَآءُوا السُّوۡٓاٰۤی اَنۡ کَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰیٰتِ اللّٰہِ وَ کَانُوۡا بِہَا یَسۡتَہۡزِءُوۡنَ ﴿٪۱۰﴾

10. پھر ان لوگوں کا انجام بہت برا ہوا جنہوں نے برائی کی اس لئے کہ وہ اللہ کی آیتوں کو جھٹلاتے اور ان کا مذاق اڑایا کرتے تھےo

10. Then the end of those who committed evil deeds was most evil, for they denied the revelations of Allah and used to mock them.

10. Then much evil came to be the end of those who did evil because they used to belie the Revelations of Allah and used to ridicule them.

10. Thumma kana AAaqibata allatheena asaoo alssooa an kaththaboo biayati Allahi wakanoo biha yastahzioona

10. Deretter ble enden til dem som handlet ondt, svært sørgelig, for de pleide å forsverge Allahs åpenbaringer og latterliggjøre dem.

10. फिर उन लोगों का अंजाम बहुत बुरा हुवा जिन्होंने बुराई की इसलिए कि वोह अल्लाह की आयतों को झुटलाते और उनका मज़ाक़ उड़ाया करते थे।

১০. অতঃপর তাদের পরিণতি খুবই অশুভ হয়েছিল যারা অশুভ কর্ম করেছিল; কারণ তারা আল্লাহ্‌র আয়াতসমূহকে মিথ্যাপ্রতিপন্ন করেছিল এবং এগুলোকে উপহাস করতো।
