مَا کَانَ لِلۡمُشۡرِکِیۡنَ اَنۡ یَّعۡمُرُوۡا مَسٰجِدَ اللّٰہِ شٰہِدِیۡنَ عَلٰۤی اَنۡفُسِہِمۡ بِالۡکُفۡرِ ؕ اُولٰٓئِکَ حَبِطَتۡ اَعۡمَالُہُمۡ ۚۖ وَ فِی النَّارِ ہُمۡ خٰلِدُوۡنَ ﴿۱۷﴾

17. مشرکوں کے لئے یہ روا نہیں کہ وہ اللہ کی مسجدیں آباد کریں درآنحالیکہ وہ خود اپنے اوپر کفر کے گواہ ہیں، ان لوگوں کے تمام اعمال باطل ہو چکے ہیں اور وہ ہمیشہ دوزخ ہی میں رہنے والے ہیںo

17. It is not for the polytheists to maintain the mosques of Allah while they testify to their disbelief against themselves. The deeds of such people have become void, and they shall abide in the Fire forever.

17. It is not for the polytheists to maintain and frequent the mosques of Allah, whereas they themselves bear witness to their disbelief. All their deeds have become void and in Hell they shall dwell forever.

17. Ma kana lilmushrikeena an yaAAmuroo masajida Allahi shahideena AAala anfusihim bialkufri olaika habitat aAAmaluhum wafee alnnari hum khalidoona

17. Det passer seg ikke for flergudsdyrkerne å ta seg av Allahs moskeer mens de er vitner til sin egen vantro. Disses handlinger er bortkastet, og i helvete skal de bo for alltid.

17. मुश्रिकों के लिए ये रवा नहीं कि वोह अल्लाह की मस्जिदें आबाद करें दर आं हालीकि वोह ख़ुद अपने ऊपर कुफ्र के गवाह हैं, उन लोगों के तमाम आमाल बातिल हो चुके हैं और वोह हमेशा दोज़ख़ ही में रहने वाले हैं।

১৭. মুশরিকদের জন্যে এমন হতে পারে না যে, তারা আল্লাহ্‌র মসজিদের রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ করবে, যখন তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের কুফরী স্বীকার করে। এ সকল লোকদের সমস্ত আমল বাতিল হয়ে গিয়েছে। আর তারা চিরকাল দোযখেই অবস্থান করবে।

اِنَّمَا یَعۡمُرُ مَسٰجِدَ اللّٰہِ مَنۡ اٰمَنَ بِاللّٰہِ وَ الۡیَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِ وَ اَقَامَ الصَّلٰوۃَ وَ اٰتَی الزَّکٰوۃَ وَ لَمۡ یَخۡشَ اِلَّا اللّٰہَ فَعَسٰۤی اُولٰٓئِکَ اَنۡ یَّکُوۡنُوۡا مِنَ الۡمُہۡتَدِیۡنَ ﴿۱۸﴾

18. اللہ کی مسجدیں صرف وہی آباد کر سکتا ہے جو اللہ پر اور یومِ آخرت پر ایمان لایا اور اس نے نماز قائم کی اور زکوٰۃ ادا کی اور اللہ کے سوا (کسی سے) نہ ڈرا۔ سو امید ہے کہ یہی لوگ ہدایت پانے والوں میں ہو جائیں گےo

18. Only they should maintain Allah’s mosques who believe in Allah and the Last Day, who establish the prayer, give the alms due and fear none but Allah. Hopefully, such people will be among the rightly guided.

18. Only he who believes in Allah and the Last Day and establishes Prayer and pays Zakat (the Alms-due) and who fears none but Allah can maintain and frequent the mosques of Allah. So they alone are expected to become the rightly-guided.

18. Innama yaAAmuru masajida Allahi man amana biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri waaqama alssalata waata alzzakata walam yakhsha illa Allaha faAAasa olaika an yakoonoo mina almuhtadeena

18. Det er kun de som antar troen på Allah og den ytterste dag og forretter tidebønnen og gir det pålagte bidraget regelmessig og ikke frykter noen andre enn Allah, som kan ta seg av Allahs moskeer. Det er forventet at disse vil bli av de rettledede.

18. अल्लाह की मस्जिदें सिर्फ़ वोही आबाद कर सकता है जो अल्लाह पर और यौमे आख़िरत पर ईमान लाया और उसने नमाज़ क़ाइम की और ज़कात अदा की और अल्लाह के सिवा (किसी से) न डरा। सो उम्मीद है कि येही लोग हिदायत पाने वालों में हो जाएंगे।

১৮. আল্লাহ্‌র মসজিদ কেবল তারাই রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ করতে পারে, যারা আল্লাহ্তে ও পরকালে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছে, আর যারা নামায কায়েম করেছে এবং যাকাত আদায় করেছে, এবং আল্লাহ্কে ছাড়া (কাউকে) ভয় করে না। সুতরাং আশা করা যায় যে, এরা হেদায়াত প্রাপ্তদের মধ্যে গণ্য হবে।

اَجَعَلۡتُمۡ سِقَایَۃَ الۡحَآجِّ وَ عِمَارَۃَ الۡمَسۡجِدِ الۡحَرَامِ کَمَنۡ اٰمَنَ بِاللّٰہِ وَ الۡیَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِ وَ جٰہَدَ فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ ؕ لَا یَسۡتَوٗنَ عِنۡدَ اللّٰہِ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ لَا یَہۡدِی الۡقَوۡمَ الظّٰلِمِیۡنَ ﴿ۘ۱۹﴾

19. کیا تم نے (محض) حاجیوں کو پانی پلانے اور مسجدِ حرام کی آبادی و مرمت کا بندوبست کرنے (کے عمل) کو اس شخص کے (اعمال) کے برابر قرار دے رکھا ہے جو اللہ اور یومِ آخرت پر ایمان لے آیا اور اس نے اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کیا، یہ لوگ اللہ کے حضور برابر نہیں ہو سکتے، اور اللہ ظالم قوم کو ہدایت نہیں فرماتاo

19. Do you consider providing water to the Hajj pilgrims and maintaining the Sacred Mosque to be like (the deeds of) someone who believes in Allah and the Last Day and struggles hard in the way of Allah? They are not equal in Allah’s sight, and Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

19. Do you consider (the mere) serving of drinking water to the pilgrims and the management of populating and maintaining the Sacred Mosque (an act) equal to (the works of) a person who believes in Allah and the Last Day and fights in the cause of Allah? They cannot be equal in the sight of Allah, and Allah does not guide those who do injustice.

19. AjaAAaltum siqayata alhajji waAAimarata almasjidi alharami kaman amana biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri wajahada fee sabeeli Allahi la yastawoona AAinda Allahi waAllahu la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena

19. Har dere gjort det å skjenke pilegrimene vann og forvalte den hellige moskeens opprettholdelse og vedlikehold (en handling) lik den personen (personens handling) som antar troen på Allah og den ytterste dag og kjemper for Allahs sak? Aldri kan de være like i Allahs øyne! Og Allah veileder ikke det ondsinnede folk.

19. क्या तुमने (महज़) हाजियों को पानी पिलाने और मस्जिदे हराम की आबादी व मरम्मत का बंदोबस्त करने (के अ़मल) को उस शख़्स के (आमाल) के बराबर क़रार दे रखा है जो अल्लाह और यौमे आख़िरत पर ईमान ले आया और उसने अल्लाह की राह में जिहाद किया? ये लोग अल्लाह के हुज़ूर बराबर नहीं हो सकते, और अल्लाह ज़ालिम क़ौम को हिदायत नहीं फरमाता।

১৯. তোমরা কি (কেবল) হাজীদের পানি পান করানো এবং মসজিদুল হারামের তত্ত্বাবধান ও রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের বন্দোবস্ত করাকে ঐসব লোকের (কাজের) সমান মনে করছো, যে আল্লাহ্ ও পরকালে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে এবং আল্লাহ্‌র পথে জিহাদ করে? আল্লাহ্‌র নিকট এরা সমান হতে পারে না। আর আল্লাহ্ যালিম সম্প্রদায়কে হেদায়াত দান করেন না।

اَلَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ ہَاجَرُوۡا وَ جٰہَدُوۡا فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ بِاَمۡوَالِہِمۡ وَ اَنۡفُسِہِمۡ ۙ اَعۡظَمُ دَرَجَۃً عِنۡدَ اللّٰہِ ؕ وَ اُولٰٓئِکَ ہُمُ الۡفَآئِزُوۡنَ ﴿۲۰﴾

20. جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے ہجرت کی اور اللہ کی راہ میں اپنے اموال اور اپنی جانوں سے جہاد کرتے رہے وہ اللہ کی بارگاہ میں درجہ کے لحاظ سے بہت بڑے ہیں، اور وہی لوگ ہی مراد کو پہنچے ہوئے ہیںo

20. Those who believe and migrate (from their homelands) and struggle hard in the way of Allah with their possessions and their lives are much higher in rank in Allah’s sight. And they are the ones who are successful.

20. Those who have believed and have emigrated and have consistently toiled hard in the cause of Allah with their material and human resources enjoy a very high rank in the presence of Allah, and it is they who have achieved the ultimate goal.

20. Allatheena amanoo wahajaroo wajahadoo fee sabeeli Allahi biamwalihim waanfusihim aAAthamu darajatan AAinda Allahi waolaika humu alfaizoona

20. De som antok troen og utvandret og kjempet for Allahs sak med sin eiendom og sitt liv, de står høyt på rangstigen hos Allah, og disse er de som har oppnådd målet.

20. जो लोग ईमान लाए और उन्होंने हिजरत की और अल्लाह की राह में अपने अम्वाल और अपनी जानों से जिहाद करते रहे वोह अल्लाह की बारगाह में दर्जे के लिहाज़ से बहुत बड़े हैं, और वोही लोग ही मुराद को पहुंचे हुए हैं।

২০. যারা ঈমান আনয়ন করেছে, হিজরত করেছে এবং আল্লাহ্‌র পথে স্বীয় সম্পদ ও জীবন দিয়ে জিহাদে রত আছে, তারা আল্লাহ্‌র সমীপে মর্যাদায় অনেক শ্রেষ্ঠ। আর তারাই অভীষ্ট লক্ষ্যে পৌঁছেছে।

یُبَشِّرُہُمۡ رَبُّہُمۡ بِرَحۡمَۃٍ مِّنۡہُ وَ رِضۡوَانٍ وَّ جَنّٰتٍ لَّہُمۡ فِیۡہَا نَعِیۡمٌ مُّقِیۡمٌ ﴿ۙ۲۱﴾

21. ان کا رب انہیں اپنی جانب سے رحمت کی اور (اپنی) رضا کی اور (ان) جنتوں کی خوشخبری دیتا ہے جن میں ان کے لئے دائمی نعمتیں ہیںo

21. Their Lord gives them the glad tidings of Mercy from Himself and (His) good pleasure and Gardens, wherein they shall have eternal blessings.

21. Their Lord gives them glad tidings of mercy from Him and of (His) pleasure and of (those) Gardens for them in which there are eternal delights;

21. Yubashshiruhum rabbuhum birahmatin minhu waridwanin wajannatin lahum feeha naAAeemun muqeemun

21. Herren deres bebuder dem det gledelige budskapet om nåde fra Ham og (Hans) velbehag og de paradisene hvori det for dem vil være evige velsignelser,

21. उनका रब उन्हें अपनी जानिब से रहमत की और (अपनी) रज़ा की और (उन) जन्नतों की खु़शख़बरी देता है जिनमें उनके लिए दाइमी नेअ़मतें हैं।

২১. তাদের প্রতিপালক তাদেরকে স্বীয় রহমত ও সন্তুষ্টি এবং (ঐসব) জান্নাতের সুসংবাদ দিচ্ছেন, যাতে তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে স্থায়ী সুখ-সমৃদ্ধি।

یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَتَّخِذُوۡۤا اٰبَآءَکُمۡ وَ اِخۡوَانَکُمۡ اَوۡلِیَآءَ اِنِ اسۡتَحَبُّوا الۡکُفۡرَ عَلَی الۡاِیۡمَانِ ؕ وَ مَنۡ یَّتَوَلَّہُمۡ مِّنۡکُمۡ فَاُولٰٓئِکَ ہُمُ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ ﴿۲۳﴾

23. اے ایمان والو! تم اپنے باپ (دادا) اور بھائیوں کو بھی دوست نہ بناؤ اگر وہ ایمان پر کفر کو محبوب رکھتے ہوں، اور تم میں سے جو شخص بھی انہیں دوست رکھے گا سو وہی لوگ ظالم ہیںo

23. O believers! Do not take your fathers and brothers as trusted allies (against the Muslims) if they choose disbelief over faith. And those of you who take them as trusted allies are the ones who are the wrongdoers.

23. O believers! Do not take your fathers (and forefathers) and brothers for friends if they love disbelief more than belief. And whoever of you befriends them, it is they who are the wrongdoers.

23. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tattakhithoo abaakum waikhwanakum awliyaa ini istahabboo alkufra AAala aleemani waman yatawallahum minkum faolaika humu alththalimoona

23. Å, dere troende! Ta ikke fedrene deres og ei heller brødrene deres som vennene deres hvis de elsker vantroen framfor troen, og den av dere som tar dem til venner, er de som er ondsinnede.

23. ऐ ईमान वालो! तुम अपने बाप (दादा) और भाइयों को भी दोस्त न बनाओ अगर वोह ईमान पर कुफ्र को मह्‌बूब रखते हों, और तुम में से जो शख़्स भी उन्हें दोस्त रखेगा सो वोही लोग ज़ालिम हैं।

২৩. হে ঈমানাদারগণ! তোমরা তোমাদের বাপ (- দাদা) এবং ভাইদেরকে বন্ধু রূপে গ্রহণ করো না, যদি তারা ঈমান অপেক্ষা কুফরীকে প্রাধান্য দেয়। আর তোমাদের মধ্যে যারাই তাদেরকে বন্ধু রূপে গ্রহণ করবে, তারাই যালিম।

قُلۡ اِنۡ کَانَ اٰبَآؤُکُمۡ وَ اَبۡنَآؤُکُمۡ وَ اِخۡوَانُکُمۡ وَ اَزۡوَاجُکُمۡ وَ عَشِیۡرَتُکُمۡ وَ اَمۡوَالُۨ اقۡتَرَفۡتُمُوۡہَا وَ تِجَارَۃٌ تَخۡشَوۡنَ کَسَادَہَا وَ مَسٰکِنُ تَرۡضَوۡنَہَاۤ اَحَبَّ اِلَیۡکُمۡ مِّنَ اللّٰہِ وَ رَسُوۡلِہٖ وَ جِہَادٍ فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِہٖ فَتَرَبَّصُوۡا حَتّٰی یَاۡتِیَ اللّٰہُ بِاَمۡرِہٖ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ لَا یَہۡدِی الۡقَوۡمَ الۡفٰسِقِیۡنَ ﴿٪۲۴﴾

24. (اے نبی مکرم!) آپ فرما دیں: اگر تمہارے باپ (دادا) اور تمہارے بیٹے (بیٹیاں) اور تمہارے بھائی (بہنیں) اور تمہاری بیویاں اور تمہارے (دیگر) رشتہ دار اور تمہارے اموال جو تم نے (محنت سے) کمائے اور تجارت و کاروبار جس کے نقصان سے تم ڈرتے رہتے ہو اور وہ مکانات جنہیں تم پسند کرتے ہو، تمہارے نزدیک اللہ اور اس کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اور اس کی راہ میں جہاد سے زیادہ محبوب ہیں تو پھر انتظار کرو یہاں تک کہ اللہ اپنا حکمِ (عذاب) لے آئے، اور اللہ نافرمان لوگوں کو ہدایت نہیں فرماتاo

24. (Esteemed Prophet!) Say: ‘If your fathers, your children, your brothers, your spouses, your tribe, the possessions which you have acquired, the business whose decline you may fear and the dwellings which you find pleasing are more beloved to you than Allah, His Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him) and striving in His way, then wait until Allah issues His command (of torment). And Allah does not guide the disobedient people.’

24. (O Esteemed Messenger!) Say: ‘If your fathers (and forefathers) and your sons (and daughters) and your brothers (and sisters) and your wives and your (other) kith and kin and the riches that you have earned (so hard) and the trade and business that you fear may decline and the homes you are fond of are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him) and struggling in His cause, then wait until Allah brings His command (of torment). And Allah does not guide the disobedient.’

24. Qul in kana abaokum waabnaokum waikhwanukum waazwajukum waAAasheeratukum waamwalun iqtaraftumooha watijaratun takhshawna kasadaha wamasakinu tardawnaha ahabba ilaykum mina Allahi warasoolihi wajihadin fee sabeelihi fatarabbasoo hatta yatiya Allahu biamrihi waAllahu la yahdee alqawma alfasiqeena

24. (Kjære høyaktede Sendebud ﷺ!) Si: «Hvis fedrene deres, sønnene (og døtrene) deres, brødrene (og søstrene) deres, hustruene deres og (alle de andre) slektningene deres og den rikdommen som dere har opptjent (med hardt slit), og handel og forretninger hvis tap dere engster dere for hele tiden, og de boligene som dere liker, er dere kjærere enn Allah og Sendebudet Hans (ﷺ) og å kjempe for Hans sak, så bare avvent helt til Allah bringer befalingen (pinen) Sin. Og Allah veileder ikke det ulydige folk!»

24. (ऐ नबिय्ये मुकर्रम!) आप फरमा दें: अगर तुम्हारे बाप (दादा) और तुम्हारे बेटे (बेटियां) और तुम्हारे भाई (बहनें) और तुम्हारी बीवियां और तुम्हारे (दीगर) रिश्तेदार और तुम्हारे अम्वाल जो तुमने (मेहनत से) कमाए और तिजारतो कारोबार जिसके नुक़्सान से तुम डरते रहते हो और वोह मकानात जिन्हें तुम पसन्द करते हो, तुम्हारे नज़दीक अल्लाह और उसके रसूल (सल्लल्लाहु अ़लैहि व सल्लम) और उसकी राह में जिहाद से ज़ियादा मह्‌बूब हैं तो फिर इन्तिज़ार करो यहां तक कि अल्लाह अपना हुक्मे (अ़ज़ाब) ले आए। और अल्लाह नाफरमान लोगों को हिदायत नहीं फरमाता।

২৪. (হে সম্মানিত নবী!) আপনি বলে দিন, ‘যদি তোমাদের বাপ (-দাদা), তোমাদের পুত্র (-কন্যা), তোমাদের ভাই (-বোন), তোমাদের স্ত্রীগণ, তোমাদের (অপরাপর) আত্মীয়, তোমাদের সম্পদ যা তোমরা (মেহনত করে) অর্জন করেছো, ব্যবসা-বাণিজ্য যার লোকসানের আশংকা তোমরা করো এবং বাসস্থান যা তোমরা পছন্দ করো; তোমাদের নিকট আল্লাহ্, তাঁর রাসূল (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া আলিহী ওয়াসাল্লাম) এবং তাঁর পথে জিহাদ করা থেকে অধিকতর পছন্দনীয় হয়, তবে অপেক্ষা করো আল্লাহ্ স্বীয় (শাস্তির) বিধান নিয়ে আসা পর্যন্ত।’ আর আল্লাহ্ নাফরমান সম্প্রদায়কে হেদায়াত দান করেন না।
