یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مَا لَکُمۡ اِذَا قِیۡلَ لَکُمُ انۡفِرُوۡا فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ اثَّاقَلۡتُمۡ اِلَی الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ اَرَضِیۡتُمۡ بِالۡحَیٰوۃِ الدُّنۡیَا مِنَ الۡاٰخِرَۃِ ۚ فَمَا مَتَاعُ الۡحَیٰوۃِ الدُّنۡیَا فِی الۡاٰخِرَۃِ اِلَّا قَلِیۡلٌ ﴿۳۸﴾

38. اے ایمان والو! تمہیں کیا ہو گیا ہے کہ جب تم سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ تم اللہ کی راہ میں (جہاد کے لئے) نکلو تو تم بوجھل ہو کر زمین (کی مادی و سفلی دنیا) کی طرف جھک جاتے ہو، کیا تم آخرت کے بدلے دنیا کی زندگی سے راضی ہو گئے ہو؟ سو آخرت (کے مقابلہ) میں دنیوی زندگی کا ساز و سامان کچھ بھی نہیں مگر بہت ہی کم (حیثیت رکھتا ہے)o

38. O believers! What excuse do you have when it is said to you, ‘Go forth in the way of Allah’, and you sink heavily to the ground? Are you so pleased with the life of this world instead of the Hereafter? Yet the provision of the life of this world, compared with the Hereafter, is insignificant.

38. O believers! What is the matter with you that when you are asked to set out (to fight) in the way of Allah, you, weighing heavier, incline towards (the material and ignoble world of) the earth? Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? So, the property and belongings of the life of this world are worthless in (comparison with) the Hereafter (and carry) but little (value).

38. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ma lakum itha qeela lakumu infiroo fee sabeeli Allahi iththaqaltum ila alardi aradeetum bialhayati alddunya mina alakhirati fama mataAAu alhayati alddunya fee alakhirati illa qaleelun

38. Å, dere troende! Hva er i veien med dere? Når det blir sagt til dere: «Dra ut (for å kjempe) for Allahs sak!», så blir dere tunge og bøyer dere mot jorden (det materielle og mindreverdige i verden). Er dere blitt tilfreds med jordelivet framfor det hinsidige? Men jordelivets gods er svært lite verd i forhold til det hinsidige.

38. ऐ ईमान वालो! तुम्हें क्या हो गया है कि जब तुमसे कहा जाता है कि तुम अल्लाह की राह में (जिहाद के लिए) निकलो तो तुम बोझल होकर ज़मीन (की माद्दी-व-सिफ्ली दुन्या) की तरफ झुक जाते हो, क्या तुम आख़िरत के बदले दुन्या की ज़िन्दगी से राज़ी हो गए हो? सो आख़िरत (के मुक़ाबले) में दुन्यवी ज़िन्दगी का साज़ो सामान कुछ भी नहीं मगर बहुत ही कम (हैसियत रखता है) ।

৩৮. হে ঈমানদারগণ! তোমাদের কী হয়েছে যে, যখন তোমাদেরকে বলা হয়, ‘আল্লাহ্‌র পথে (জিহাদের জন্যে) বের হও’, তখন তোমরা কঠিন হয়ে ভু-পৃষ্ঠের (বস্তুগত ও তুচ্ছ পার্থিব বিষয়ের) দিকে ঝুঁকে পড়ো। তোমরা কি আখেরাতের পরিবর্তে পার্থিব জীবনে সন্তুষ্ট হয়ে গিয়েছ? বস্তুতঃ পরকালে (-এর তুলনায়) পার্থিব জীবনের সামগ্রী কিছুই নয়, অতি সামান্য (মূল্য রাখে)।

اِلَّا تَنۡفِرُوۡا یُعَذِّبۡکُمۡ عَذَابًا اَلِیۡمًا ۬ۙ وَّ یَسۡتَبۡدِلۡ قَوۡمًا غَیۡرَکُمۡ وَ لَا تَضُرُّوۡہُ شَیۡئًا ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ عَلٰی کُلِّ شَیۡءٍ قَدِیۡرٌ ﴿۳۹﴾

39. اگر تم (جہاد کے لئے) نہ نکلو گے تو وہ تمہیں دردناک عذاب میں مبتلا فرمائے گا اور تمہاری جگہ (کسی) اور قوم کو لے آئے گا اور تم اسے کچھ بھی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکو گے، اور اللہ ہر چیز پر بڑی قدرت رکھتا ہےo

39. If you do not move forth, He will punish you with a painful torment and replace you with other people, and you will not harm Him in the least. And Allah is All-Capable of everything.

39. If you do not move out (to fight for the promotion of peace and human dignity), He will afflict you with grievous torment and will replace you with another people and you will not be able to do Him any harm. And Allah has mighty power over everything.

39. Illa tanfiroo yuAAaththibkum AAathaban aleeman wayastabdil qawman ghayrakum wala tadurroohu shayan waAllahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

39. Hvis dere ikke drar ut (for å kjempe), vil Han pine dere med en smertelig pine og bytte dere ut med et annet folk, og dere vil ikke kunne skade Ham i det hele tatt, og Allah har fullstendig makt over alle ting.

39. अगर तुम (जिहाद के लिए) न निकलोगे तो वोह तुम्हें दर्दनाक अ़ज़ाब में मुब्तला फरमाएगा और तुम्हारी जगह (किसी) और क़ौम को ले आएगा और तुम उसे कुछ भी नुक़्सान नहीं पहुंचा सकोगे, और अल्लाह हर चीज़ पर बड़ी क़ुदरत रखता है।

৩৯. যদি তোমরা (শান্তি ও মানবিক মূল্যবোধ উত্তরণে জিহাদের জন্যে) বের না হও, তবে তিনি তোমাদেরকে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তিতে নিমজ্জিত করবেন, আর তোমাদের স্থলে অপর (কোনো) সম্প্রদায়কে নিয়ে আসবেন। আর তোমরা তাঁর কোনোই ক্ষতি করতে পারবে না। আর আল্লাহ্ সকল কিছুর উপর ক্ষমতাবান।

اِلَّا تَنۡصُرُوۡہُ فَقَدۡ نَصَرَہُ اللّٰہُ اِذۡ اَخۡرَجَہُ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا ثَانِیَ اثۡنَیۡنِ اِذۡ ہُمَا فِی الۡغَارِ اِذۡ یَقُوۡلُ لِصَاحِبِہٖ لَا تَحۡزَنۡ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ مَعَنَا ۚ فَاَنۡزَلَ اللّٰہُ سَکِیۡنَتَہٗ عَلَیۡہِ وَ اَیَّدَہٗ بِجُنُوۡدٍ لَّمۡ تَرَوۡہَا وَ جَعَلَ کَلِمَۃَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوا السُّفۡلٰی ؕ وَ کَلِمَۃُ اللّٰہِ ہِیَ الۡعُلۡیَا ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ عَزِیۡزٌ حَکِیۡمٌ ﴿۴۰﴾

40. اگر تم ان کی (یعنی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی غلبۂ اسلام کی جد و جہد میں) مدد نہ کرو گے (تو کیا ہوا) سو بیشک اللہ نے ان کو (اس وقت بھی) مدد سے نوازا تھا جب کافروں نے انہیں (وطنِ مکہ سے) نکال دیا تھا درآنحالیکہ وہ دو (ہجرت کرنے والوں) میں سے دوسرے تھے جبکہ دونوں (رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اور ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) غارِ (ثور) میں تھے جب وہ اپنے ساتھی (ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) سے فرما رہے تھے: غمزدہ نہ ہو بیشک اللہ ہمارے ساتھ ہے، پس اللہ نے ان پر اپنی تسکین نازل فرما دی اور انہیں (فرشتوں کے) ایسے لشکروں کے ذریعہ قوت بخشی جنہیں تم نہ دیکھ سکے اور اس نے کافروں کی بات کو پست و فروتر کر دیا، اور اللہ کا فرمان تو (ہمیشہ) بلند و بالا ہی ہے، اور اللہ غالب، حکمت والا ہےo

40. (O people!) If you do not help him (i.e. the Esteemed Prophet), Allah has already helped him when the disbelievers drove him out (of Mecca, and he was) the second of the two (emigrants). When the two of them (i.e. the Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him) and Abu Bakr) were in the cave (of Mount Thawr), he (the Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) said to his companion (Abu Bakr): ‘Do not worry, surely Allah is with us.’ Then Allah sent down His tranquillity upon him and strengthened him with armies (of angels), which you could not see, and He made the word of the disbelievers the lowest. And the word of Allah is the highest, and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

40. If you do not help him (the Holy Messenger of Allah in the struggle for the dominance of Islam, then what!). Indeed, Allah helped him (also at the time) when the disbelievers drove him away (from Mecca, his homeland,) whilst he was the second of the two (emigrants). Both (the Messenger [blessings and peace be upon him] and Abu Bakr) were in the cave (of Mount Thawr) when he said to his Companion (Abu Bakr): ‘Do not grieve. Allah is surely with us.’ So, Allah sent down His serenity upon him, and strengthened him by means of such armies (of angels) that you could not see, and He made the word of the disbelievers the lowermost, and Allah’s Word is (always) the uppermost and exalted. And Allah is Almighty, Most Wise.

40. Illa tansuroohu faqad nasarahu Allahu ith akhrajahu allatheena kafaroo thaniya ithnayni ith huma fee alghari ith yaqoolu lisahibihi la tahzan inna Allaha maAAana faanzala Allahu sakeenatahu AAalayhi waayyadahu bijunoodin lam tarawha wajaAAala kalimata allatheena kafaroo alssufla wakalimatu Allahi hiya alAAulya waAllahu AAazeezun hakeemun

40. Hvis ikke dere støtter ham (Allahs Sendebud ﷺ i kampen for å få islam til å seire, hva så!), for sannelig, Allah støttet ham da de vantro drev ham ut (av hans hjemby Mekka), han var den andre av de to (som utvandret) da de begge (Allahs Sendebud ﷺ og Abō Bakr) var i hulen (Thaur), da han sa til følgesvennen sin (Abō Bakr): «Bli ikke sørgmodig! Sannelig, Allah er med oss!» Da sendte Allah over ham Sin sjelefred og styrket ham med slike mannskap (av engler) som dere ikke kunne se, og Han gjorde de vantros ord underlegent, og Allahs ord er alltid overlegent. Og Allah er allmektig, mest vis.

40. अगर तुम उनकी (यानी रसूलुल्लाह सल्लल्लाहु अ़लैहि व सल्लम की ग़ल्बए इस्लाम की जिद्दो जहद में) मदद न करोगे (तो क्या हुवा) सो बेशक अल्लाह ने उनको (उस वक़्त भी) मदद से नवाज़ा था जब काफिरों ने उन्हें (वतन मक्का से) निकाल दिया था दर आं हालांकि वोह दो (हिजरत करने वालों) में से दूसरे थे जबकि दोनों (रसूलुल्लाह सल्लल्लाहु अ़लैहि व सल्लम और अबू बकर सिद्दीक़ रदियल्लाहु अ़न्हु) ग़ारे (सौर) में थे जब वोह अपने साथी (अबू बकर सिद्दीक़ रदियल्लाहु अ़न्हु) से फरमा रहे थे ग़म ज़दा न हो बेशक अल्लाह हमारे साथ है पस अल्लाह ने उन पर अपनी तस्कीन नाज़िल फरमा दी और उन्हें (फरिश्तों के) ऐसे लश्करों के ज़रीए क़ुव्वत बख़्शी जिन्हें तुम न देख सके और उसने काफिरों की बात को पस्तो फरोतर कर दिया, और अल्लाह का फरमान तो (हमेशा) बलन्दो बाला ही है, और अल्लाह ग़ालिब, हिक्मत वाला है।

৪০. যদি তোমরা তাঁকে (অর্থাৎ রাসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া আলিহী ওয়াসাল্লামকে ইসলামের আধিপত্যের প্রচেষ্টায়) সাহায্য না করো, (তবে কী হয়েছে?) নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ্ তাঁকে (সে সময়েও) সাহায্য দ্বারা অনুগ্রহ করেছিলেন যখন কাফেরেরা তাঁকে (মক্কা ভুমি থেকে) বের করে দিয়েছিল; তখন তিনি ছিলেন (হিজরতকারী) দু’জনের মধ্যে দ্বিতীয়জন। যখন উভয়ে (রাসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া আলিহী ওয়াসাল্লাম ও আবু বকর সিদ্দীক রাদ্বিয়াল্লাহু আনহু ছূর) গুহায় ছিলেন, যখন তিনি তাঁর সাথী (আবু বকর সিদ্দীক রাদ্বিয়াল্লাহ্ আনহু)-কে বলেছিলেন, ‘চিন্তিত হয়ো না, নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ্ আমাদের সাথে রয়েছেন’। অতঃপর আল্লাহ্ তাঁদের উপর স্বীয় প্রশান্তি অবতীর্ণ করলেন, আর তাঁদেরকে (ফেরেশতাগণের) বাহিনীর মাধ্যমে শক্তিশালী করলেন, যাদেরকে তোমরা দেখতে পাওনি। আর তিনি কাফেরদের বাক্য নীচু ও নিম্নতর করে দিলেন। আর আল্লাহ্‌র বাণী তো (সর্বদা) সুউচ্চ ও সমুন্নত। আর আল্লাহ্ মহাপরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাবান।

اِنۡفِرُوۡا خِفَافًا وَّ ثِقَالًا وَّ جَاہِدُوۡا بِاَمۡوَالِکُمۡ وَ اَنۡفُسِکُمۡ فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ ؕ ذٰلِکُمۡ خَیۡرٌ لَّکُمۡ اِنۡ کُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ﴿۴۱﴾

41. تم ہلکے اور گراں بار (ہر حال میں) نکل کھڑے ہو اور اپنے مال و جان سے اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کرو، یہ تمہارے لئے بہتر ہے اگر تم (حقیقت) آشنا ہوo

41. Go forth, lightly or heavily, and strive with your possessions and your persons for the cause of Allah. That is better for you if you know.

41. Light or heavy, march forth (under all circumstances) and fight in the cause of Allah with your material and human resources. It is better for you if you are (reality) conscious.

41. Infiroo khifafan wathiqalan wajahidoo biamwalikum waanfusikum fee sabeeli Allahi thalikum khayrun lakum in kuntum taAAlamoona

41. Dra ut, (i enhver tilstand om dere er) lette eller tunge, og kjemp for Allahs sak med deres eiendom og liv, dette er det beste for dere, hvis dere bare visste (hva sannheten er).

41. तुम हल्के और गरांबार (हर हाल में) निकल खड़े हो और अपने मालो जान से अल्लाह की राह में जिहाद करो, ये तुम्हारे लिए बेहतर है अगर तुम (हक़ीक़त) आशना हो।

৪১. তোমরা হালকা অথবা ভারী (সকল অবস্থায়) বের হয়ে পড়ো, আর স্বীয় সম্পদ ও জীবন দ্বারা আল্লাহ্‌র পথে জিহাদ করো। এটি তোমাদের জন্যে উত্তম, যদি তোমরা (প্রকৃত অবস্থা) জানো।

لَوۡ کَانَ عَرَضًا قَرِیۡبًا وَّ سَفَرًا قَاصِدًا لَّاتَّبَعُوۡکَ وَ لٰکِنۡۢ بَعُدَتۡ عَلَیۡہِمُ الشُّقَّۃُ ؕ وَ سَیَحۡلِفُوۡنَ بِاللّٰہِ لَوِ اسۡتَطَعۡنَا لَخَرَجۡنَا مَعَکُمۡ ۚ یُہۡلِکُوۡنَ اَنۡفُسَہُمۡ ۚ وَ اللّٰہُ یَعۡلَمُ اِنَّہُمۡ لَکٰذِبُوۡنَ ﴿٪۴۲﴾

42. اگر مالِ (غنیمت) قریب الحصول ہوتا اور (جہاد کا) سفر متوسط و آسان تو وہ (منافقین) یقیناً آپ کے پیچھے چل پڑتے لیکن (وہ) پُرمشقّت مسافت انہیں بہت دور دکھائی دی، اور (اب) وہ عنقریب اللہ کی قَسمیں کھائیں گے کہ اگر ہم میں استطاعت ہوتی تو ضرور تمہارے ساتھ نکل کھڑے ہوتے، وہ (ان جھوٹی باتوں سے) اپنے آپ کو (مزید) ہلاکت میں ڈال رہے ہیں، اور اللہ جانتا ہے کہ وہ واقعی جھوٹے ہیںo

42. Were it an accessible gain or a short journey, they would certainly have followed you, but the distance seemed too far for them. Yet they will swear by Allah: ‘If we had been able to, we would surely have gone forth with you.’ They are (just) ruining themselves. Allah knows that they are indeed liars.

42. Had the benefit (i.e., spoils of war) been a near gain and the journey (of fighting) easy and moderate, then they (the hypocrites) would certainly have followed you. But (that) arduous journey appeared to them far too long. And they will (now) swear by Allah soon: ‘Had we been able to go, we would certainly have marched forth with you.’ They are drawing upon themselves (added) destruction (by these lies), and Allah knows that they are liars beyond doubt.

42. Law kana AAaradan qareeban wasafaran qasidan laittabaAAooka walakin baAAudat AAalayhimu alshshuqqatu wasayahlifoona biAllahi lawi istataAAna lakharajna maAAakum yuhlikoona anfusahum waAllahu yaAAlamu innahum lakathiboona

42. Hvis fortjenesten (krigsbyttene) hadde vært nær og reisen (kampens reise) lettvint, så ville visselig de (hyklerne) ha fulgt etter deg. Men den besværlige reisen virket for lang for dem. Og nå vil de snart sverge ved Allah: «Hvis vi hadde maktet, ville vi visselig ha dratt ut med dere.» De drukner seg selv (mer og mer) i fortapelsen, og Allah vet at de i sannhet er løgnere.

42. अगर माले (ग़नीमत) क़रीबुल हुसूल होता और (जिहाद का) सफर मुतवस्सितो आसान तो वोह (मुनाफिक़ीन) यक़ीनन आपके पीछे चल पड़ते लेकिन (वोह) पुर मशक़्क़त मुसाफत उन्हें बहुत दूर दिखाई दी, और (अब) वोह अ़नक़रीब अल्लाह की क़स्में खाएंगे कि अगर हम में इस्तिताअ़त होती तो ज़रूर तुम्हारे साथ निकल खड़े होते वोह (इन झूटी बातों से) अपने आप को (मज़ीद) हलाकत में डाल रहे हैं और अल्लाह जानता है कि वोह वाक़ई झूटे हैं।

৪২. (গণিমতের) সম্পদ লাভের আশু সম্ভাবনা থাকলে এবং (জিহাদের) সফর সহনীয় ও সহজ হলে এ সকল (মুনাফিকেরা) অবশ্যই আপনার পশ্চাতে চলতো। কিন্তু (সে) কষ্টসাধ্য সফর তাদের নিকট অনেক দূরবর্তী মনে হলো। আর (এখন) তারা অচিরেই আল্লাহ্‌র শপথ করবে, ‘যদি আমাদের সামর্থ হতো, তবে অবশ্যই তোমাদের সাথে বের হতাম’। তারা (এ মিথ্যার মাধ্যমে) নিজেদেরকে (আরো) ধ্বংসে নিক্ষেপ করছে। আর আল্লাহ্ জানেন যে, তারা বাস্তবিকই মিথ্যাবাদী।
