Surah al-Mu’minun with English Translation

1. بیشک ایمان والے مراد پا گئےo

1. Indeed, the believers have prospered.

1. Certainly, the believers have attained their goal,

1. Qad aflaha almuminoona

1. Uten tvil, de troende har oppnådd målet

1. बेशक ईमान वाले मुराद पा गए।

১. অবশ্যই ঈমানদারগণ লক্ষ্য অর্জন করেছে

قد أفلح المؤمنون

2. جو لوگ اپنی نماز میں عجز و نیاز کرتے ہیںo

2. Those who are humble in their prayers,

2. Those who become most humble and submissive in their Prayers,

2. Allatheena hum fee salatihim khashiAAoona

2. som i sine tidebønner er ydmyke,

2. जो लोग अपनी नमाज़ में इज्ज़ो नियाज़ करते हैं।

,২. যারা স্বীয় নামাযে বিনীত ও আত্মনিবেদিত

الذين هم في صلاتهم خاشعون

3. اور جو بیہودہ باتوں سے (ہر وقت) کنارہ کش رہتے ہیںo

3. who turn away from idle talk,

3. And who (always) keep away from absurd talk,

3. Waallatheena hum AAani allaghwi muAAridoona

3. og som (alltid) holder seg unna uforstandig prat,

3. और जो बेहूदा बातों से (हर वक़्त) कनारा कश रहते हैं।

,৩. আর যারা (সর্বদা) অনর্থক কথাবার্তা থেকে বিরত থাকে

والذين هم عن اللغو معرضون

4. اور جو (ہمیشہ) زکوٰۃ ادا (کر کے اپنی جان و مال کو پاک) کرتے رہتے ہیںo

4. who give the alms (i.e. mandatory charity),

4. And who (always) pay Zakat (the Alms-due [and keep purifying their wealth and souls]),

4. Waallatheena hum lilzzakati faAAiloona

4. og som (alltid) gir det pålagte bidraget og gjør (sin sjel og sin eiendom rene),

4. और जो (हमेशा) ज़कात अदा (करके अपनी जानो माल को पाक) करते रहते हैं।

,৪. আর যারা (সর্বদা) যাকাত আদায় (করে নিজের জীবন ও সম্পদ পবিত্র) করে

والذين هم للزكاة فاعلون

5. اور جو (دائماً) اپنی شرم گاہوں کی حفاظت کرتے رہتے ہیںo

5. who guard their private parts (protecting their chastity),

5. And who guard their private parts (all the time),

5. Waallatheena hum lifuroojihim hafithoona

5. og som (bestandig) vokter sine kjønnsdeler,

5. और जो (दाइमन) अपनी शर्मगाहों की हिफाज़त करते रहते हैं।

,৫. আর যারা (সর্বদা) নিজের লজ্জাস্থানকে হেফাজত করে

والذين هم لفروجهم حافظون

6. سوائے اپنی بیویوں کے یا ان باندیوں کے جو ان کے ہاتھوں کی مملوک ہیں، بیشک (احکامِ شریعت کے مطابق ان کے پاس جانے سے) ان پر کوئی ملامت نہیںo

6. except with their wives or whom their right hands possess (i.e. the female captives in their lawful custody), for then they are not blameworthy;

6. Except from their wives or those slave-girls who are the possessions of their hands. (If they go to them according to the Islamic injunctions,) there is surely no blame on them.

6. Illa AAala azwajihim aw ma malakat aymanuhum fainnahum ghayru maloomeena

6. unntatt for sine hustruer eller for sine slavinner som er i deres hånds eie. Sannelig, de kan ikke klandres (hvis de går til dem ifølge Allahs lovs bestemmelser).

6. सिवाए अपनी बीवियों के या उन बांदियों के जो उनके हाथों की मम्लूक हैं, बेशक (अह्‌कामे शरीअ़त के मुताबिक़ उनके पास जाने से) उन पर कोई मलामत नहीं।

,৬. নিজেদের স্ত্রী অথবা ঐ সব বাঁদী ব্যতীত যারা তাদের অধিকারভুক্ত। নিশ্চয়ই (শরীয়তের বিধানানুযায়ী এদের নিকট গমনে) তাদের প্রতি কোনো তিরস্কার নেই।

إلا على أزواجهم أو ما ملكت أيمانهم فإنهم غير ملومين

7. پھر جو شخص ان (حلال عورتوں) کے سوا کسی اور کا خواہش مند ہوا تو ایسے لوگ ہی حد سے تجاوز کرنے والے (سرکش) ہیںo

7. but whoever seeks beyond that, they are the transgressors;

7. But whoever desires someone beyond these (lawful women), it is they who are transgressors (and disobedient).

7. Famani ibtagha waraa thalika faolaika humu alAAadoona

7. Men de som begjærer noen andre enn disse (tillatte kvinnene), er de som overtrer grensen (oppsetsige).

7. फिर जो शख़्स उन (हलाल औरतों) के सिवा किसी और का ख़्वाहिशमन्द हुआ तो ऐसे लोग ही हद से तजावुज़ करने वाले (सरकश) हैं।

৭. অতঃপর যে এসকল (বৈধ নারীদের) ব্যতীত অন্যদের অন্বেষণ করে, তারাই সীমা অতিক্রমকারী (অবাধ্য)।

فمن ابتغى وراء ذلك فأولئك هم العادون

8. اور جو لوگ اپنی امانتوں اور اپنے وعدوں کی پاسداری کرنے والے ہیںo

8. and those who keep their trusts and their pledges,

8. And those who are watchful of their trusts and their pledges,

8. Waallatheena hum liamanatihim waAAahdihim raAAoona

8. Og de som er aktpågivende overfor betrodde eiendeler og sine pakter,

8. और जो लोग अपनी अमानतों और अपने वा’दों की पासदारी करने वाले हैं।

৮. আর যারা নিজেদের আমানত এবং নিজেদের অঙ্গীকারের প্রতি লক্ষ্য রাখে

والذين هم لأماناتهم وعهدهم راعون

9. اور جو اپنی نمازوں کی (مداومت کے ساتھ) حفاظت کرنے والے ہیںo

9. and who are (persistently) observant of their prayers,

9. And who guard their Prayers (with persistence),

9. Waallatheena hum AAala salawatihim yuhafithoona

9. og som er påpasselige med tidebønnene sine (med utholdenhet),

9. और जो अपनी नमाज़ों की (मुदाविमत के साथ) हिफाज़त करने वाले हैं।

,৯. আর যারা নিজেদের নামাযে (সার্বক্ষণিকভাবে) যত্নবান,

والذين هم على صلواتهم يحافظون

10. یہی لوگ (جنت کے) وارث ہیںo

10. these are the ones who will be the heirs;

10. It is they who will be the inheritors (of Paradise).

10. Olaika humu alwarithoona

10. disse er arvtakerne (paradisets arvtakere),

10. येही लोग (जन्नत के) वारिस हैं।

১০.এ লোকেরাই (জান্নাতের) উত্তরাধিকারী।

أولئك هم الوارثون

11. یہ لوگ جنت کے سب سے اعلیٰ باغات (جہاں تمام نعمتوں، راحتوں اور قربِ الٰہی کی لذتوں کی کثرت ہوگی ان) کی وراثت (بھی) پائیں گے، وہ ان میں ہمیشہ رہیں گےo

11. who shall inherit Paradise, abiding therein forever.

11. They will (also) inherit the most superior Gardens of Paradise (where all the bounties, comforts and pleasures of nearness to Allah will abound). They will live there forever.

11. Allatheena yarithoona alfirdawsa hum feeha khalidoona

11. de vil arve de mest suverene hagene (hvor det vil være rikelig av nytelsen av alle velsignelser, behageligheter og Allahs nærhet), de vil være i dem for alltid.

11. ये लोग जन्नत के सब से आ’ला बाग़ात (जहां तमाम नेअ़मतों, राहतों और क़ुर्बे इलाही की लज़्ज़तों की कसरत होगी उन) की विरासत (भी) पाएंगे, वोह उनमें हमेशा रहेंगे।

১১.তারা জান্নাতের উচু মর্যাদাসম্পন্ন উদ্যানেরও উত্তরাধিকার লাভ করবে (যেখানে অধিক পরিমাণে সমস্ত নিয়ামত, শান্তি ও আল্লাহ্‌র নৈকট্যের স্বাদ থাকবে)। তারা সেখানে থাকবে চিরদিন।

الذين يرثون الفردوس هم فيها خالدون

12. اور بیشک ہم نے انسان کی تخلیق (کی ابتداء) مٹی (کے کیمیائی اجزاء) کے خلاصہ سے فرمائیo

12. Indeed, We created human being from an extract (i.e. the chemical ingredients) of clay.*

* Dust comprises minerals, metals, salts and other chemical elements such as calcium, sodium, phosphorus, potassium, silicon, chlorine, iodine, fluorine, magnesium, zinc, sulphur, iron, etc. These and other clay elements also form a balanced diet essential for nourishment. The animals whose meat and milk we consume graze upon vegetation. The grains, vegetables and fruits that constitute our diet benefit from the soil they grow in and absorb all its chemicals.

12. And indeed, We originated (the genesis of) man from the extract of (chemical ingredients of) clay.*

* Comprising minerals, metals, salts and chemical elements like calcium, sodium, phosphorus, potassium, natrum, kalium, silicon, chlorine, iodine, fluorine, magnesium, zinc, sulfur, ferrum, cuprum, etc. These and other elements of clay also form the ingredients of a balanced diet essential for our nourishment. The animals whose meat and milk we take live on the vegetable world. The grain, vegetables, fruits and roots that form our food feed on the soil they grow in and absorb all its chemicals.

12. Walaqad khalaqna alinsana min sulalatin min teenin

12. Og uten tvil, Vi lot menneskets skapelse (dannelse) skje av leireekstrakt (kjemiske elementer).

12. और बेशक हमने इंसान की तख़्लीक़ (की इब्तिदा) मिट्टी (के कीमियाई अज्ज़ा) के खुलासे से फरमाई।

১২. আর নিশ্চয়ই আমরা মাটির (রাসায়নিক উপাদানের) নির্যাস থেকে মানুষ সৃষ্টি (সূচনা) করেছি।

ولقد خلقنا الإنسان من سلالة من طين

13. پھر اسے نطفہ (تولیدی قطرہ) بنا کر ایک مضبوط جگہ (رحمِ مادر) میں رکھاo

13. Then, We placed him as a fertilised egg (i.e. a zygote*) in a secure abode (of the mother’s womb).

* In Arabic, the word ‘al-nutfa’ is mentioned, and it refers to a zygote, which is a mixture of male and female gametes. It is the new single cell formed after the union of a sperm and ovum.

13. Then We placed him as a sperm drop (zygote) in a secure place (the mother’s womb).

13. Thumma jaAAalnahu nutfatan fee qararin makeenin

13. Derpå gjorde Vi ham til en sammensmeltet dråpe (zygote*), plassert på et sikkert sted (livmor).

* Zygote: celle som er oppstått ved sammensmeltning av to kjønnsceller.

13. फिर उसे नुत्फा (तौलीदी क़तरा) बना कर एक मज़बूत जगह (रह्मे मादर) में रखा।

১৩. অতঃপর তাকে (জন্মদায়ক বিন্দু) বীর্যরূপে স্থাপন করেছি (মায়ের জরায়ু নামক) এক নিরাপদ আধারে।

ثم جعلناه نطفة في قرار مكين

14. پھر ہم نے اس نطفہ کو (رحمِ مادر کے اندر جونک کی صورت میں) معلّق وجود بنا دیا، پھر ہم نے اس معلّق وجود کو ایک (ایسا) لوتھڑا بنا دیا جو دانتوں سے چبایا ہوا لگتا ہے، پھر ہم نے اس لوتھڑے سے ہڈیوں کا ڈھانچہ بنایا، پھر ہم نے ان ہڈیوں پر گوشت (اور پٹھے) چڑھائے، پھر ہم نے اسے تخلیق کی دوسری صورت میں (بدل کر تدریجاً) نشو و نما دی، پھر اللہ نے (اسے) بڑھا (کر محکم وجود بنا) دیا جو سب سے بہتر پیدا فرمانے والا ہےo

14. Then We made that zygote a clinging mass.* Then We developed that clinging mass into a lump of flesh (chewed with teeth). Then, out of this chewed lump, We developed a structure of bones and clothed the bones with flesh (and muscle). Later, We developed it (gradually) into a new form. So blessed is Allah, the Best of creators.

* The word ‘alaqa’ in this verse describes the human embryo from days 7–24, which clings to the endometrium of the uterus in the same way that a leech clings to the skin. Just as the leech derives blood from the host, the human embryo derives blood from the decidua or pregnant endometrium. It is remarkable how much the embryo of 23–24 days resembles a leech. No microscopes were available in the 7th century, so none would have known that the human embryo at this stage was clinging to the endometrium and had a leech-like appearance.

14. Then We made that zygote a hanging mass (clinging to the uterus like a leech). Then We developed that hanging mass into a lump, looking chewed with teeth. Out of this chewed lump, We built a structure of bones which We clothed with flesh (and muscles). Then (changing him) into another form, We developed him (gradually) into a new creation. Then Allah, the Best of creators, brought (him up into a strong body).

14. Thumma khalaqna alnnutfata AAalaqatan fakhalaqna alAAalaqata mudghatan fakhalaqna almudghata AAithaman fakasawna alAAithama lahman thumma anshanahu khalqan akhara fatabaraka Allahu ahsanu alkhaliqeena

14. Deretter dannet Vi den sammensmeltede dråpen til en festet hengende masse (klamret fast i livmoren som en leddorm [embryo*]). Så gjorde Vi den hengende massen til en kjøttklump som ser ut som om den er tygd på, deretter dannet Vi fra den kjøttklumpen et skjelett, så bekledde Vi det skjelettet med kjøtt (og muskler), deretter forandret Vi ham til en annen form for skapning ved å utvikle ham (gradvis), så lot Allah ham vokse (og gjorde ham til en sterk kropp), Han som er den beste Skaperen.

* Embryo: fosteranlegg i perioden fra egget har festet seg i livmorslimhinnen, til utgangen av åttende svangerskapsuke.

14. फिर हमने उस नुत्फे को (रह्मे मादर के अन्दर जोंक की सूरत में) मुअ़ल्लक़ वुजूद बना दिया, फिर हमने उस मुअ़ल्लक़ वुजूद को एक (ऐसा) लौथड़ा बना दिया जो दांतों से चबाया हुवा लगता है, फिर हमने उस लौथड़े से हड्डियों का ढांचा बनाया, फिर हमने उन हड्डियों पर गोश्त (और पठ्ठे) चढ़ाए, फिर हमने उसे तख़्लीक़ की दूसरी सूरत में (बदल कर तदरीजन) नश्वोनुमा दी, फिर (उस) अल्लाह ने (उसे) बढ़ा (कर मुहकम वुजूद बना) दिया जो सब से बेहतर पैदा फरमाने वाला है।

১৪. অতঃপর আমরা এ বীর্যকে (মায়ের জরায়ুতে জোঁকের আকৃতিতে) ঝুলন্ত বস্তু বানিয়েছি। এরপর আমরা এ ঝুলন্ত বস্তুকে (এমন) এক পিন্ড বানিয়েছি যা দেখতে দন্তচর্বিত। অতঃপর আমরা এ পিন্ডকে পরিণত করেছি অস্থিপিঞ্জরে। তারপর আমরা এ অস্থিপিঞ্জরকে মাংস (এবং পেশী) দ্বারা ঢেকে দিয়েছি। অবশেষে আমরা তাকে সৃষ্টির অন্য আকারে (পরিবর্তন করে) ক্রমবিকশিত করেছি। অতঃপর আল্লাহ্ (তাকে সুদৃঢ় শরীরে) বৃদ্ধি করেছেন, যিনি সবচেয়ে সুনিপুণ সৃষ্টিকর্তা।

ثم خلقنا النطفة علقة فخلقنا العلقة مضغة فخلقنا المضغة عظاما فكسونا العظام لحما ثم أنشأناه خلقا آخر فتبارك الله أحسن الخالقين

15. پھر بیشک تم اس (زندگی) کے بعد ضرور مرنے والے ہوo

15. Then, after that, you will surely die.

15. Then certainly, after this (life), you shall die.

15. Thumma innakum baAAda thalika lamayyitoona

15. Derpå, sannelig, etter dette (livet), vil dere visselig dø.

15. फिर बेशक तुम इस (ज़िन्दगी) के बाद ज़रूर मरने वाले हो।

১৫. অতঃপর তোমরা এরপর (অর্থাৎ এ জীবনের পর) অবশ্যই মৃত্যুবরণ করবে।

ثم إنكم بعد ذلك لميتون

16. پھر بیشک تم قیامت کے دن (زندہ کر کے) اٹھائے جاؤ گےo

16. Then you will indeed be raised on the Day of Resurrection.

16. Then indeed, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be raised up (after brought to life).

16. Thumma innakum yawma alqiyamati tubAAathoona

16. Deretter, sannelig, vil dere bli gjenopplivet på oppstandelsens dag.

16. फिर बेशक तुम क़ियामत के दिन (ज़िन्दा करके) उठाए जाओगे।

১৬. অতঃপর অবশ্যই তোমাদেরকে কিয়ামতের দিন পুনরুত্থিত করা হবে।

ثم إنكم يوم القيامة تبعثون

17. اور بیشک ہم نے تمہارے اوپر (کرّۂ اَرضی کے گرد فضائے بسیط میں نظامِ کائنات کی حفاظت کے لئے) سات راستے (یعنی سات مقناطیسی پٹیاں یا میدان) بنائے ہیں، اور ہم (کائنات کی) تخلیق (اور اس کی حفاظت کے تقاضوں) سے بے خبر نہ تھےo

17. And certainly, We have created above you seven tracks.* And We have never been heedless of (Our) creation.

* Seven tracks may refer to the seven heavens, being above one another, according to the description of traditional cosmology. It may also refer to the paths of the five visible planets, including the sun and the moon, or the celestial spheres in which the sun and the planets move, traditionally known as ‘aflak’. Another possible meaning could be the seven magnetic fields around the vast atmospheric expanse of the earth for safeguarding the cosmic system.

17. And surely, We have created above you seven paths (i.e., seven magnetic paths or fields, around the vast atmospheric expanse of the planet earth, for the safeguard of the cosmic system). And We were not unaware of the creation (of the universe and the pre-requisites of its security).

17. Walaqad khalaqna fawqakum sabAAa taraiqa wama kunna AAani alkhalqi ghafileena

17. Og uten tvil, Vi har skapt syv stier over dere (syv magnetpassasjer eller magnetfelt, rundt jordens vidstrakte atmosfæriske flate for å beskytte universets system). Og Vi var ikke uoppmerksom på skapelsen (av universet og dets bevarelses behov).

17. और बेशक हमने तुम्हारे ऊपर (कुर्रए अर्ज़ी के गिर्द फिज़ाए बसीत में निज़ामे काइनात की हिफाज़त के लिए) सात रास्ते (यानी सात मक़्नातीसी पट्टियां या मैदान) बनाए हैं और हम (काइनात की) तख़्लीक़ (और उसकी हिफाज़त के तक़ाज़ों) से बेख़बर न थे।

১৭. আর নিশ্চয়ই আমরা তোমাদের ঊর্ধ্বে (ভু-পৃষ্ঠের চার পাশে বিস্তৃত শূন্যমন্ডলে সৃষ্টিজগতের শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষার্থে সাতটি চৌম্বকীয় ময়দান বা) সপ্তপথ বানিয়েছি। আর আমরা (বিশ্বজগতের) সৃষ্টি (ও নিরাপত্তার প্রয়োজনীয়তা) সম্পর্কে অনবহিত ছিলাম না।

ولقد خلقنا فوقكم سبع طرائق وما كنا عن الخلق غافلين

18. اور ہم ایک اندازہ کے مطابق (عرصہ دراز تک) بادلوں سے پانی برساتے رہے، پھر (جب زمین ٹھنڈی ہوگئی تو) ہم نے اس پانی کو زمین (کی نشیبی جگہوں) میں ٹھہرا دیا (جس سے ابتدائی سمندر وجود میں آئے) اور بیشک ہم اسے (بخارات بنا کر) اڑا دینے پر بھی قدرت رکھتے ہیںo

18. And We sent down water from the sky in a measured manner and settled it in the earth (shaping it into preliminary forms of oceans). And indeed, We have the power to make it disappear (as vapours).

18. And We showered water persistently (for a long time) from the clouds according to an estimated measure. So (when the earth became cool then) We lodged this water in (the depressions and depths of) the earth (shaping into preliminary forms of oceans). And verily, We have the power to make it evaporate (as vapours).

18. Waanzalna mina alssamai maan biqadarin faaskannahu fee alardi wainna AAala thahabin bihi laqadiroona

18. Og Vi nedsendte fra himmelen vann ifølge et vurdert mål (i lang tid), så (da jorden ble avkjølt) lot Vi det vannet hvile i jorden (i jordens dybder, som førte til at de første havene ble formet). Og sannelig, Vi evner fullt å få det til å blåse av gårde (som damp).

18. और हम एक अन्दाज़े के मुताबिक़ (अ़र्सए दराज़ तक) बादलों से पानी बरसाते रहे, फिर (जब ज़मीन ठंडी हो गई तो) हमने उस पानी को ज़मीन (की नशेबी जगहों) में ठहरा दिया (जिससे इब्तिदाई समन्दर वुजूद में आए) और बेशक हम उसे (बुख़ारात बना कर) उड़ा देने पर भी कु़ दरत रखते हैं।

১৮. আর আমরা (দীর্ঘ সময় পর্যন্ত) পরিমিতভাবে মেঘমালা থেকে বারি বর্ষণ করেছি। অতঃপর (ভু-পৃষ্ঠ শীতল হলে) আমরা একে মৃত্তিকায় (নিম্ন ভাগে) সংরক্ষিত করেছি। (যার মাধ্যমে প্রাথমিকভাবে সৃষ্টি হয় সাগর) আর নিশ্চয়ই আমরা একে (বাষ্পীভুত করে) অপসারিত করতেও ক্ষমতা রাখি।

وأنزلنا من السماء ماء بقدر فأسكناه في الأرض وإنا على ذهاب به لقادرون

19. پھر ہم نے تمہارے لئے اس سے (درجہ بہ درجہ یعنی پہلے ابتدائی نباتات پھر بڑے پودے پھر درخت وجود میں لاتے ہوئے) کھجور اور انگور کے باغات بنا دیئے (مزید برآں) تمہارے لئے زمین میں (اور بھی) بہت سے پھل اور میوے (پیدا کئے) اور (اب) تم ان میں سے کھاتے ہوo

19. Then, with it, We caused gardens of date palms and grapevines to grow for you. There are many (other) fruits in it for you, and you eat from them.

19. Then by means of this We caused to grow for you (step by step firstly herbs, then plants and then trees and) the gardens of dates and grapes. (Furthermore, We created) for you many (other) fruits of which you eat (now).

19. Faanshana lakum bihi jannatin min nakheelin waaAAnabin lakum feeha fawakihu katheeratun waminha takuloona

19. Så frambrakte Vi for dere (trinnvis) ved det (først urter, så større planter, deretter ved å la trær stå fram, så ga Vi liv til) hager av daddelpalmer og druer. (Utenom det skapte Vi) mange andre frukter for dere på jorden, og fortsatt (den dag i dag) spiser dere av dem.

19. फिर हमने तुम्हारे लिए उससे (दर्जा बदर्जा यानी पहले इब्तिदाई नबातात फिर बड़े पौदे फिर दरख़्त वुजूद में लाते हुए) खजूर और अंगूर के बाग़ात बना दिए (मज़ीद बर आँ) तुम्हारे लिए ज़मीन में (औऱ भी) बहुत से फल और मेवे (पैदा किए) और (अब) तुम उनमें से खाते हो।

১৯. অতঃপর আমরা তোমাদের জন্যে এর দ্বারা (স্তরে স্তরে অর্থাৎ প্রথমে তৃণলতা, অতঃপর চারাগাছ, এরপর বৃক্ষে) খেজুর এবং আঙ্গুরের বাগান সৃষ্টি করেছি। (এ ছাড়াও) তোমাদের জন্যে পৃথিবীতে (আরো) অনেক ফলমূল (সৃষ্টি করেছি)। আর (এখন) তোমরা তা থেকে ভক্ষণ করো।

فأنشأنا لكم به جنات من نخيل وأعناب لكم فيها فواكه كثيرة ومنها تأكلون

20. اور یہ درخت (زیتون بھی ہم نے پیدا کیا ہے) جو طورِ سینا سے نکلتا ہے (اور) تیل اور کھانے والوں کے لئے سالن لے کر اگتا ہےo

20. There is another tree that grows forth from (the region of) Mount Sinai, which produces oil and seasoning for those who eat.

20. And (We have also created for you the olive) tree, which grows forth from Mount Sinai, (and) contains oil, and is a curry for those who eat.

20. Washajaratan takhruju min toori saynaa tanbutu bialdduhni wasibghin lilakileena

20. Og dette treet (av oliven har også Vi skapt) som gror fram av Sinaifjellet, det vokser med (gir) olje og saus til eterne.

20. और ये दरख़्त (ज़ैतून भी हमने पैदा किया है) जो तूरे सीना से निकलता है (और) तेल और खाने वालों के लिए सालन लेकर उगता है।

২০. আর এ (যায়তূন) বৃক্ষও (আমরা সৃষ্টি করেছি) যা সিনাই উপত্যকায় বেড়ে উঠে, (আর) তেল এবং ভক্ষণকারীর জন্যে ব্যঞ্জন নিয়ে উদ্গত হয়।

وشجرة تخرج من طور سيناء تنبت بالدهن وصبغ للآكلين

21. اور بیشک تمہارے لئے چوپایوں میں (بھی) غور طلب پہلو ہیں، جو کچھ ان کے شکموں میں ہوتا ہے ہم تمہیں اس میں سے (بعض اجزاء کو دودھ بنا کر) پلاتے ہیں اور تمہارے لئے ان میں (اور بھی) بہت سے فوائد ہیں اور تم ان میں سے (بعض کو) کھاتے (بھی) ہوo

21. And there is indeed a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you drink (milk prepared from some constituents) of what is in their bellies. And in them are many (other) advantages for you, and you eat (some) of them (as well).

21. And for you indeed there are (also) aspects to the cattle that need contemplation: We make you drink (milk We prepare from some ingredients) of what is in their bellies. And there are for you (also) many (other) benefits in them, and you eat (some) of them (as well).

21. Wainna lakum fee alanAAami laAAibratan nusqeekum mimma fee butooniha walakum feeha manafiAAu katheeratun waminha takuloona

21. Og sannelig, det er i kveget for dere en fordel som krever ettertanke: Vi gir dere å drikke fra det som finnes i deres mager (ved å få noen indre organer til å produsere melk), og det er mange andre fordeler for dere i dem, og dere spiser (noen) av dem også.

21. और बेशक तुम्हारे लिए चौपायों में (भी) ग़ौर तलब पहलू हैं, जो कुछ उनके शिकमों में होता है हम तुम्हें उसमें से (बा’ज़ अज्ज़ा को दूध बना कर) पिलाते हैं और तुम्हारे लिए उनमें (और भी) बहुत से फवाइद हैं और तुम उनमें से (बा’ज़ को) खाते (भी) हो।

২১. আর নিশ্চয়ই তোমাদের জন্যে চতুষ্পদ প্রাণীতে(ও) চিন্তার উপকরণ রয়েছে। যা কিছু এদের উদরে থাকে তা থেকে (কিছু অংশ দুগ্ধ হিসেবে) আমরা তোমাদেরকে পান করাই। আর তোমাদের জন্যে এতে (আরো) অনেক উপকারিতা রয়েছে এবং তোমরা এগুলো থেকে (কিছু অংশ) ভক্ষণ(ও) করো।

وإن لكم في الأنعام لعبرة نسقيكم مما في بطونها ولكم فيها منافع كثيرة ومنها تأكلون

22. اور ان پر اور کشتیوں پر تم سوار (بھی) کئے جاتے ہوo

22. And upon them and ships, you are carried (to different destinations).

22. And you are (also) borne upon them and on boats.

22. WaAAalayha waAAala alfulki tuhmaloona

22. Og på dem og på skipene bæres dere.

22. और उन पर और कश्तियों पर तुम सवार (भी) किए जाते हो।

২২. আর এদের উপর এবং জলযানে তোমাদেরকেও আরোহণ করানো হয়।
