4. اور رات کی قسم جب گزر چلے (مراد ہر شب ہے یا بطورِ خاص شبِ مزدلفہ یا شبِ قدر)o

4. and by the night when it departs!*

* It refers to every night in general, which indicates the Wisdom of Allah’s measuring between night and day. But, according to some scholars, it could be a specific reference to the night of the Hajj, when the pilgrims gather at Muzdalifa before moving to Mina. Others say it could refer to the Night of Power (Layla al-Qadr).

4. And by the night as it departs. (Every night or particularly the night of Muzdalifa or the night of Qadr.)

4. og ved natten når den går sin vei (alle nettene, eller spesielt Mozdalifah-natten eller skjebnenatten)!

4. और रात की क़सम जब गुज़र चले (मुराद हर शब है या बतौरे ख़ास शबे मुज़्दल्फा या शबे क़द्र) ।

৪. এবং শপথ রজনীর যখন তা অতিক্রান্ত হয় (বর্ণনার উদ্দেশ্য- প্রতি রাত অথবা বিশেষভাবে হজ্জকালীন মুযদালিফার রাত অথবা মাহে রমজানে শবে কদরের রাত)।
