ﮝﮞ

1. طا، سین، میم (حقیقی معنی اللہ اور رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہی بہتر جانتے ہیں)o

1. Ta, Sin, Mim. (Only Allah and the Messenger [blessings and peace be upon him] know the real meaning.)

ﮟﮠﮡﮢﮣ

2. یہ روشن کتاب کی آیتیں ہیںo

2. These are the Verses of the enlightening Book.

ﮤﮥﮦﮧﮨﮩﮪﮫﮬﮭ

3. (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) ہم آپ پر موسٰی (علیہ السلام) اور فرعون کے حقیقت پر مبنی حال میں سے ان لوگوں کے لئے کچھ پڑھ کر سناتے ہیں جو ایمان رکھتے ہیںo

3. (O Esteemed Beloved!) We recite to you from the true account of Musa (Moses) and Pharaoh for those who have believed.

ﮮﮯﮰﮱﯓﯔﯕﯖﯗﯘﯙﯚﯛﯜﯝﯞﯟﯠﯡﯢﯣ

4. بیشک فرعون زمین میں سرکش و متکبّر (یعنی آمرِ مطلق) ہوگیا تھا اور اس نے اپنے (ملک کے) باشندوں کو (مختلف) فرقوں (اور گروہوں) میں بانٹ دیا تھا اس نے ان میں سے ایک گروہ (یعنی بنی اسرائیل کے عوام) کو کمزور کردیا تھا کہ ان کے لڑکوں کو (ان کے مستقبل کی طاقت کچلنے کے لئے) ذبح کر ڈالتا اور ان کی عورتوں کو زندہ چھوڑ دیتا (تاکہ مَردوں کے بغیر ان کی تعداد بڑھے اور ان میں اخلاقی بے راہ روی کا اضافہ ہو)، بیشک وہ فساد انگیز لوگوں میں سے تھاo

4. Certainly, Pharaoh had become an arrogant rebel (i.e., a tyrannical despot) in the land, and he had divided the citizens of his (state) into (various) sects (and groups). He had oppressed and weakened one of these groups (the population comprising the Children of Israel). He used to kill their sons (to crush their future strength), and let their women live (to increase their number without men and spread immorality and indecency amongst them). Surely, he was one of those who rouse disruption.

ﯤﯥﯦﯧﯨﯩﯪﯫﯬﯭﯮﯯﯰ

5. اور ہم چاہتے تھے کہ ہم ایسے لوگوں پر احسان کریں جو زمین میں (حقوق اور آزادی سے محرومی اور ظلم و استحصال کے باعث) کمزور کر دیئے گئے تھے اور انہیں (مظلوم قوم کے) رہبر و پیشوا بنا دیں اور انہیں (ملکی تخت کا) وارث بنا دیںo

5. And We wanted to do favour to the people who had been weakened in the land (through oppression, exploitation and deprivation of rights and freedom) and make them leaders (of the oppressed people) and inheritors (of the throne of the kingdom);

ﭑﭒﭓﭔﭕﭖﭗﭘﭙﭚﭛﭜﭝ

6. اور ہم انہیں ملک میں حکومت و اقتدار بخشیں اور فرعون اور ہامان اور ان دونوں کی فوجوں کو وہ (انقلاب) دکھا دیں جس سے وہ ڈرا کرتے تھےo

6. And to give them governance and power in the land and show Pharaoh and Haman and their armies (the revolution) that they used to fear.

ﭞﭟﭠﭡﭢﭣﭤﭥﭦﭧﭨﭩﭪﭫﭬﭭﭮﭯﭰﭱﭲﭳﭴﭵﭶ

7. اور ہم نے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کی والدہ کے دل میں یہ بات ڈالی کہ تم انہیں دودھ پلاتی رہو، پھر جب تمہیں ان پر (قتل کردیئے جانے کا) اندیشہ ہو جائے تو انہیں دریا میں ڈال دینا اور نہ تم (اس صورتِ حال سے) خوفزدہ ہونا اور نہ رنجیدہ ہونا، بیشک ہم انہیں تمہاری طرف واپس لوٹانے والے ہیں اور انہیں رسولوں میں(شامل) کرنے والے ہیں۔o

7. And We revealed to the heart of the mother of Musa (Moses): ‘Suckle him on, but when you fear (for his life), put him afloat into the river, and be not afraid (of this situation) nor grieve. Surely, We shall bring him back to you, and shall make him one of Our Messengers.’

ﭷﭸﭹﭺﭻﭼﭽﭾﭿﮀﮁﮂﮃﮄﮅ

8. پھر فرعون کے گھر والوں نے انہیں (دریا سے) اٹھا لیا تاکہ وہ (مشیّتِ الٰہی سے) ان کے لئے دشمن اور (باعثِ) غم ثابت ہوں، بیشک فرعون اور ہامان اور ان دونوں کی فوجیں سب خطاکار تھےo

8. Then Pharaoh’s family picked him up (from the river) so that (by the will of Allah) he proved for them an enemy and (a cause of) grief. Surely, Pharaoh, Haman and their armies were the evildoers.

ﮆﮇﮈﮉﮊﮋﮌﮍﮎﮏﮐﮑﮒﮓﮔﮕﮖﮗﮘﮙ

9. اور فرعون کی بیوی نے (موسٰی علیہ السلام کو دیکھ کر) کہا کہ (یہ بچہ) میری اور تیری آنکھ کے لئے ٹھنڈک ہے۔ اسے قتل نہ کرو، شاید یہ ہمیں فائدہ پہنچائے یا ہم اس کو بیٹا بنالیں اور وہ (اس تجویز کے انجام سے) بے خبر تھےo

9. And the wife of Pharaoh said (on seeing Musa [Moses]): ‘(This child) is coolness of eyes for me and for you; do not kill him. He may perhaps bring us benefit or we may adopt him as a son.’ And they were unaware (of the outcome of this plan).

ﮚﮛﮜﮝﮞﮟﮠﮡﮢﮣﮤﮥﮦﮧﮨﮩﮪﮫﮬ

10. اور موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کی والدہ کا دل (صبر سے) خالی ہوگیا، قریب تھا کہ وہ (اپنی بے قراری کے باعث) اس راز کو ظاہر کردیتیں اگر ہم ان کے دل پر صبر و سکون کی قوّت نہ اتارتے تاکہ وہ (وعدۂ الٰہی پر) یقین رکھنے والوں میں سے رہیںo

10. And the heart of Musa’s (Moses’s) mother felt empty (of patience). And she would nearly have disclosed the secret (owing to her impatience), had We not energized her heart with the strength of peace and patience so that she might remain one of the firm believers (in Allah’s promise).

ﮭﮮﮯﮰﮱﯓﯔﯕﯖﯗﯘﯙ

11. اور (موسٰی علیہ السلام کی والدہ نے) ان کی بہن سے کہا کہ (ان کا حال معلوم کرنے کے لئے) ان کے پیچھے جاؤ سو وہ انہیں دور سے دیکھتے رہے اور وہ لوگ (بالکل) بے خبر تھےo

11. And (Musa’s [Moses’s] mother) said to his sister: ‘Follow him (to be aware of him).’ So she watched him from a distance, but they were (completely) unaware.

ﯚﯛﯜﯝﯞﯟﯠﯡﯢﯣﯤﯥﯦﯧﯨﯩﯪﯫ

12. اور ہم نے پہلے ہی سے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) پر دائیوں کا دودھ حرام کر دیا تھا سو (موسٰی علیہ السلام کی بہن نے) کہا: کیا میں تمہیں ایسے گھر والوں کی نشاندہی کروں جو تمہارے لئے اس (بچے) کی پرورش کر دیں اور وہ اس کے خیر خواہ (بھی) ہوںo

12. And We had in advance prohibited him from the feed of wet nurses. So (Musa’s [Moses’s] sister) said: ‘Shall I tell you about a family who will bring up this (child) for you and will (also) be his well-wisher?’

ﯬﯭﯮﯯﯰﯱﯲﯳﯴﯵﯶﯷﯸﯹﯺﯻﯼﯽ

13. پس ہم نے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کو (یوں) ان کی والدہ کے پاس لوٹا دیا تاکہ ان کی آنکھ ٹھنڈی رہے اور وہ رنجیدہ نہ ہوں اور تاکہ وہ (یقین سے) جان لیں کہ اللہ کا وعدہ سچا ہے لیکن اکثر لوگ نہیں جانتےo

13. So (this way) We returned Musa (Moses) to his mother so that her eyes might keep cool and so that she might not feel grieved and in order that she might know (with certitude) that Allah’s promise is true but most of the people do not know.

ﭑﭒﭓﭔﭕﭖﭗﭘﭙﭚﭛﭜ

14. اور جب موسٰی (علیہ السلام) اپنی جوانی کو پہنچ گئے اور (سنِّ) اعتدال پر آگئے تو ہم نے انہیں حکمِ (نبوّت) اور علم و دانش سے نوازا، اور ہم نیکوکاروں کو اسی طرح صلہ دیا کرتے ہیںo

14. And when Musa (Moses) reached his maturity and (the age of) moderation and stability, We honoured him with the command (of Prophethood) and knowledge and wisdom. And that is how We reward the righteous.

ﭝﭞﭟﭠﭡﭢﭣﭤﭥﭦﭧﭨﭩﭪﭫﭬﭭﭮﭯﭰﭱﭲﭳﭴﭵﭶﭷﭸﭹﭺﭻﭼﭽﭾﭿﮀﮁﮂﮃﮄﮅﮆ

15. اور موسٰی (علیہ السلام) شہرِ (مصر) میں داخل ہوئے اس حال میں کہ شہر کے باشندے (نیند میں) غافل پڑے تھے، تو انہوں نے اس میں دو مَردوں کو باہم لڑتے ہوئے پایا یہ (ایک) تو ان کے (اپنے) گروہ (بنی اسرائیل) میں سے تھا اور یہ (دوسرا) ان کے دشمنوں (قومِ فرعون) میں سے تھا، پس اس شخص نے جو انہی کے گروہ میں سے تھا آپ سے اس شخص کے خلاف مدد طلب کی جو آپ کے دشمنوں میں سے تھا پس موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے اسے مکّا مارا تو اس کا کام تمام کردیا، (پھر) فرمانے لگے: یہ شیطان کا کام ہے (جو مجھ سے سرزَد ہوا ہے)، بیشک وہ صریح بہکانے والا دشمن ہےo

15. And Musa (Moses) entered the city (in Egypt) at a time when its people were lying (asleep) unaware. There he found two men fighting with each other, one from his (own) party (the Children of Israel), and the other from his enemies (the people of Pharaoh). The man from his own party asked him for help against the other who was from his enemies. So Musa (Moses) struck him with his fist and killed him. (Then) he said: ‘This is Satan’s work (which I have committed); no doubt he is an open, misleading enemy.’

ﮇﮈﮉﮊﮋﮌﮍﮎﮏﮐﮑﮒﮓﮔﮕ

16. (موسٰی علیہ السلام) عرض کرنے لگے: اے میرے رب! بیشک میں نے اپنی جان پر ظلم کیا سو تو مجھے معاف فرما دے پس اس نے انہیں معاف فرما دیا، بیشک وہ بڑا ہی بخشنے والا نہایت مہربان ہےo

16. (Musa [Moses]) submitted: ‘O my Lord, no doubt I have wronged my soul; so bless me with forgiveness.’ Then He forgave him. Surely, He is the Most Forgiving, Ever-Merciful.

ﮖﮗﮘﮙﮚﮛﮜﮝﮞﮟ

17. (مزید) عرض کرنے لگے: اے میرے رب! اس سبب سے کہ تو نے مجھ پر (اپنی مغفرت کے ذریعہ) احسان فرمایا ہے اب میں ہرگز مجرموں کا مددگار نہیں بنوں گاo

17. (Moreover) he submitted: ‘O my Lord, because of Your favour (of forgiveness) You have blessed me with, I shall never be a helper of the wrongdoers.’

ﮠﮡﮢﮣﮤﮥﮦﮧﮨﮩﮪﮫﮬﮭﮮﮯﮰﮱ

18. پس موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے اس شہر میں ڈرتے ہوئے صبح کی اس انتظار میں (کہ اب کیا ہوگا؟) تو دفعتًہ وہی شخص جس نے آپ سے گزشتہ روز مدد طلب کی تھی آپ کو (دوبارہ) امداد کے لئے پکار رہا ہے تو موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے اس سے کہا: بیشک تو صریح گمراہ ہےo

18. So Musa (Moses), anxious and afraid, kept waiting till morning (to discover what would happen next). Then, suddenly, the man who sought his help the day before was crying out to him for help (again). Musa (Moses) said to him: ‘Surely, you are the one who has truly lost the right path.’

ﯓﯔﯕﯖﯗﯘﯙﯚﯛﯜﯝﯞﯟﯠﯡﯢﯣﯤﯥﯦﯧﯨﯩﯪﯫﯬﯭﯮﯯﯰﯱﯲﯳﯴ

19. سو جب انہوں نے ارادہ کیا کہ اس شخص کو پکڑیں جو ان دونوں کا دشمن ہے تو وہ بول اٹھا: اے موسٰی! کیا تم مجھے (بھی) قتل کرنا چاہتے ہو جیسا کہ تم نے کل ایک شخص کو قتل کر ڈالا تھا۔ تم صرف یہی چاہتے ہو کہ ملک میں بڑے جابر بن جاؤ اور تم یہ نہیں چاہتے کہ اصلاح کرنے والوں میں سے بنوo

19. Then, when Musa (Moses) decided to catch hold of the person who was an enemy to both of them, he exclaimed: ‘O Musa (Moses), do you want to kill me (too) as you killed a man the day before? You intend only to become a tyrant in the land, and you do not desire to become one of the reformers.’

ﯵﯶﯷﯸﯹﯺﯻﯼﯽﯾﯿﰀﰁﰂﰃﰄﰅﰆﰇ

20. اور شہر کے آخری کنارے سے ایک شخص دوڑتا ہوا آیا اس نے کہا: اے موسٰی! (قومِ فرعون کے) سردار آپ کے بارے میں مشورہ کر رہے ہیں کہ وہ آپ کو قتل کردیں سو آپ (یہاں سے) نکل جائیں بیشک میں آپ کے خیر خواہوں میں سے ہوںo

20. And a man came running from the far end of the city and said: ‘O Musa (Moses), the chiefs (of the people of Pharaoh) are counselling about you to kill you, so depart (from here). Surely, I am of your well-wishers.’

ﰈﰉﰊﰋﰌﰍﰎﰏﰐﰑﰒﰓ

21. سو موسٰی (علیہ السلام) وہاں سے خوف زدہ ہو کر (مددِ الٰہی کا) انتظار کرتے ہوئے نکل کھڑے ہوئے، عرض کیا: اے رب! مجھے ظالم قوم سے نجات عطا فرماo

21. So Musa (Moses), afraid and waiting for (Allah’s help), went off from there. He prayed: ‘O my Lord, deliver me from the oppressing people.’

ﭑﭒﭓﭔﭕﭖﭗﭘﭙﭚﭛﭜ

22. اور جب وہ مَديَن کی طرف رخ کر کے چلے (تو) کہنے لگے: امید ہے میرا رب مجھے (منزلِ مقصود تک پہنچانے کے لئے) سیدھی راہ دکھا دے گاo

22. And when he moved towards Madyan, he said: ‘I hope my Lord will show me the straight path (to take me to the desired destination).’

ﭝﭞﭟﭠﭡﭢﭣﭤﭥﭦﭧﭨﭩﭪﭫﭬﭭﭮﭯﭰﭱﭲﭳﭴﭵﭶﭷﭸﭹﭺﭻ

23. اور جب وہ مَدْيَنَْ کے پانی (کے کنویں) پر پہنچے تو انہوں نے اس پر لوگوں کا ایک ہجوم پایا جو (اپنے جانوروں کو) پانی پلا رہے تھے اور ان سے الگ ایک جانب دو عورتیں دیکھیں جو (اپنی بکریوں کو) روکے ہوئے تھیں (موسٰی علیہ السلام نے) فرمایا: تم دونوں اس حال میں کیوں (کھڑی) ہو؟ دونوں بولیں کہ ہم (اپنی بکریوں کو) پانی نہیں پلا سکتیں یہاں تک کہ چرواہے (اپنے مویشیوں کو) واپس لے جائیں، اور ہمارے والد عمر رسیدہ بزرگ ہیںo

23. And when he arrived at the watering (well) of Madyan, he found there a crowd of people watering (their flocks). And on a side, he saw two women, withdrawn, holding back (their goats. Musa [Moses]) asked: ‘Why are you (standing) in this condition?’ Both said: ‘We cannot water (our goats) till the shepherds take back their flocks and our father is an aged man.’

ﭼﭽﭾﭿﮀﮁﮂﮃﮄﮅﮆﮇﮈﮉﮊﮋ

24. سو انہوں نے دونوں (کے ریوڑ) کو پانی پلا دیا پھر سایہ کی طرف پلٹ گئے اور عرض کیا: اے رب! میں ہر اس بھلائی کا جو تو میری طرف اتارے محتاج ہوںo

24. So he watered their (flocks) and then turned back to the shade and submitted: ‘O Lord, I am in need of whatever good You send down to me.’

ﮌﮍﮎﮏﮐﮑﮒﮓﮔﮕﮖﮗﮘﮙﮚﮛﮜﮝﮞﮟﮠﮡﮢﮣﮤﮥﮦﮧﮨ

25. پھر (تھوڑی دیر بعد) ان کے پاس ان دونوں میں سے ایک (لڑکی) آئی جو شرم و حیاء (کے انداز) سے چل رہی تھی۔ اس نے کہا: میرے والد آپ کو بلا رہے ہیں تاکہ وہ آپ کو اس (محنت) کا معاوضہ دیں جو آپ نے ہمارے لئے (بکریوں کو) پانی پلایا ہے۔ سو جب موسٰی (علیہ السلام) ان (لڑکیوں کے والد شعیب علیہ السلام) کے پاس آئے اور ان سے (پچھلے) واقعات بیان کئے تو انہوں نے کہا: آپ خوف نہ کریں آپ نے ظالم قوم سے نجات پا لی ہےo

25. Then (after a while) one of those two (girls) came to him walking modestly. She said: ‘My father invites you so that he may reward you for (your labour in) watering (the flocks) for us. So when Musa (Moses) came to (Shu‘ayb, the father of those girls,) and narrated to him (the preceding) incidents, he said: ‘Do not fear. You are safe and secure from the oppressive people.’

ﮩﮪﮫﮬﮭﮮﮯﮰﮱﯓﯔﯕ

26. ان میں سے ایک (لڑکی) نے کہا: اے میرے ابا جان! انہیں اپنے پاس مزدوری پر رکھ لیں بیشک بہترین شخص جسے آپ مزدوری پر رکھیں وہی ہے جو طاقتور امانت دار ہو (اور یہ اس ذمہ داری کے اہل ہیں)o

26. One of those (girls) said: ‘O my respectable father, take him into your service. Surely, the best person you can employ is the one who is strong and trustworthy (and he is worthy of this assignment).’

ﯖﯗﯘﯙﯚﯛﯜﯝﯞﯟﯠﯡﯢﯣﯤﯥﯦﯧﯨﯩﯪﯫﯬﯭﯮﯯﯰﯱﯲﯳﯴﯵﯶ

27. انہوں نے (موسٰی علیہ السلام سے) کہا: میں چاہتا ہوں کہ اپنی ان دو لڑکیوں میں سے ایک کا نکاح آپ سے کردوں اس (مَہر) پر کہ آپ آٹھ سال تک میرے پاس اُجرت پر کام کریں، پھر اگر آپ نے دس (سال) پور ے کردیئے تو آپ کی طرف سے (احسان) ہوگا اور میں آپ پر مشقت نہیں ڈالنا چاہتا، اگر اللہ نے چاہا تو آپ مجھے نیک لوگوں میں سے پائیں گےo

27. He said (to Musa [Moses]): ‘I intend to marry you to one of my two daughters by (the dower) that you serve me on hire for eight years, but if you complete ten (years), it will be (a favour) from you. And I do not want to make it hard for you. If Allah wills, you will find me of the pious.’

ﯷﯸﯹﯺﯻﯼﯽﯾﯿﰀﰁﰂﰃﰄﰅﰆﰇﰈ

28. موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: یہ (معاہدہ) میرے اور آپ کے درمیان (طے) ہوگیا، دو میں سے جو مدت بھی میں پوری کروں سو مجھ پر کوئی جبر نہیں ہوگا، اور اللہ اس (بات) پر جو ہم کہہ رہے ہیں نگہبان ہےo

28. Musa (Moses) said: ‘This (agreement) is (settled) between me and you. Whichever of the two terms I complete, I shall not be forced. And Allah is the Custodian over what we say.’

ﭑﭒﭓﭔﭕﭖﭗﭘﭙﭚﭛﭜﭝﭞﭟﭠﭡﭢﭣﭤﭥﭦﭧﭨﭩﭪﭫﭬﭭ

29. پھر جب موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے مقررہ مدت پوری کر لی اور اپنی اہلیہ کو لے کر چلے (تو) انہوں نے طور کی جانب سے ایک آگ دیکھی (وہ شعلۂ حسنِ مطلق تھا جس کی طرف آپ کی طبیعت مانوس ہوگئی)، انہوں نے اپنی اہلیہ سے فرمایا: تم (یہیں) ٹھہرو میں نے آگ دیکھی ہے۔ شاید میں تمہارے لئے اس (آگ) سے کچھ (اُس کی) خبر لاؤں (جس کی تلاش میں مدتوں سے سرگرداں ہوں) یا آتشِ (سوزاں) کی کوئی چنگاری (لادوں) تاکہ تم (بھی) تپ اٹھوo

29. So when Musa (Moses) completed the appointed term and set out with his wife, he saw a fire in the direction of Tur. (That was a flash of absolute beauty which caught his heart and fascinated him.) He said to his wife: ‘Stay (here). I have seen a fire. I may bring you some news (about Him) from that (fire in whose pursuit I have long been wandering), or (I may bring you) some burning brand from the (febrile) fire so that you (too) may feel the burn.’

ﭮﭯﭰﭱﭲﭳﭴﭵﭶﭷﭸﭹﭺﭻﭼﭽﭾﭿﮀﮁ

30. جب موسٰی (علیہ السلام) وہاں پہنچے تو وادئ (طور) کے دائیں کنارے سے بابرکت مقام میں (واقع) ایک درخت سے آواز دی گئی کہ اے موسٰی! بیشک میں ہی اللہ ہوں (جو) تمام جہانوں کا پروردگار (ہوں)o

30. When Musa (Moses) reached there, a call was made from the right side of (the blessed Tur) valley from a tree (located) in a blessed spot: ‘O Musa (Moses), verily, I am Allah, the Sustainer of all the worlds.

ﮂﮃﮄﮅﮆﮇﮈﮉﮊﮋﮌﮍﮎﮏﮐﮑﮒﮓﮔﮕﮖﮗﮘ

31. اور یہ کہ اپنی لاٹھی (زمین پر) ڈال دو، پھر جب موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے اسے دیکھا کہ وہ تیز لہراتی تڑپتی ہوئی حرکت کر رہی ہے گویا وہ سانپ ہو، تو پیٹھ پھیر کر چل پڑے اور پیچھے مڑ کر نہ دیکھا، (ندا آئی:) اے موسٰی! سامنے آؤ اور خوف نہ کرو، بیشک تم امان یافتہ لوگوں میں سے ہوo

31. And throw your staff (on the ground).’ So when Musa (Moses) saw it moving fast, coiling and curling as if it was a snake, he turned his back, jogged off and did not look behind. (The Voice said:) ‘O Musa (Moses), come forth and do not fear. Surely, you are of the secure.

ﮙﮚﮛﮜﮝﮞﮟﮠﮡﮢﮣﮤﮥﮦﮧﮨﮩﮪﮫﮬﮭﮮﮯﮰﮱﯓﯔﯕ

32. اپنا ہاتھ اپنے گریبان میں ڈالو وہ بغیر کسی عیب کے سفید چمک دار ہوکر نکلے گا اور خوف (دور کرنے کی غرض) سے اپنا بازو اپنے (سینے کی) طرف سکیڑ لو، پس تمہارے رب کی جانب سے یہ دو دلیلیں فرعون اور اس کے درباریوں کی طرف (بھیجنے اور مشاہدہ کرانے کے لئے) ہیں، بیشک وہ نافرمان لوگ ہیںo

32. Put your hand inside your collar opening. It will come out shining white without any disease. And flex your hand close to your (breast to remove) fear. These two signs from your Lord are for (sending to) Pharaoh and his courtiers (to observe). Surely, they are disobedient people.’

ﯖﯗﯘﯙﯚﯛﯜﯝﯞﯟ

33. (موسٰی علیہ السلام نے) عرض کیا: اے پروردگار! میں نے ان میں سے ایک شخص کو قتل کر ڈالا تھا سو میں ڈرتا ہوں کہ وہ مجھے قتل کرڈالیں گےo

33. Musa (Moses) submitted: ‘O Lord, I killed one of them, so I fear they would kill me.

ﯠﯡﯢﯣﯤﯥﯦﯧﯨﯩﯪﯫﯬﯭﯮﯯ

34. اور میرے بھائی ہارون (علیہ السلام)، وہ زبان میں مجھ سے زیادہ فصیح ہیں سو انہیں میرے ساتھ مددگار بنا کر بھیج دے کہ وہ میری تصدیق کر سکیں میں اس بات سے (بھی) ڈرتا ہوں کہ (وہ) لوگ مجھے جھٹلائیں گےo

34. And my brother Harun (Aaron) is more communicative and eloquent in speech than I, so send him with me as a helper that he may bear me out. And I (also) fear that they will reject me.’

ﯰﯱﯲﯳﯴﯵﯶﯷﯸﯹﯺﯻﯼﯽﯾﯿﰀ

35. ارشاد فرمایا: ہم تمہارا بازو تمہارے بھائی کے ذریعے مضبوط کر دیں گے۔ اور ہم تم دونوں کے لئے (لوگوں کے دلوں میں اور تمہاری کاوشوں میں) ہیبت و غلبہ پیدا کئے دیتے ہیں۔ سو وہ ہماری نشانیوں کے سبب سے تم تک (گزند پہنچانے کے لئے) نہیں پہنچ سکیں گے، تم دونوں اور جو لوگ تمہاری پیروی کریں گے غالب رہیں گےo

35. (Allah) said: ‘We shall strengthen your arm with your brother and shall create for both of you dread and dominance (in the hearts of the people and in the impact of your endeavours). So they will not be able to reach you (to do harm) because of Our signs. You two and your followers will triumph and prevail.’

ﭑﭒﭓﭔﭕﭖﭗﭘﭙﭚﭛﭜﭝﭞﭟﭠﭡﭢ

36. پھر جب موسٰی (علیہ السلام) ان کے پاس ہماری واضح اور روشن نشانیاں لے کر آئے تو وہ لوگ کہنے لگے کہ یہ تو مَن گھڑت جادو کے سوا (کچھ) نہیں ہے۔ اور ہم نے یہ باتیں اپنے پہلے آباء و اجداد میں (کبھی) نہیں سنی تھیںo

36. So when Musa (Moses) came to them with Our clear and enlightening Signs, they said: ‘This is nothing but invented magic; we (never) heard of these things amongst our ancestors.’

ﭣﭤﭥﭦﭧﭨﭩﭪﭫﭬﭭﭮﭯﭰﭱﭲﭳﭴﭵﭶ

37. اور موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: میرا رب اس کو خوب جانتا ہے جو اس کے پاس سے ہدایت لے کر آیا ہے اور اس کو (بھی) جس کے لئے آخرت کے گھر کا انجام (بہتر) ہوگا، بیشک ظالم فلاح نہیں پائیں گےo

37. And Musa (Moses) said: ‘My Lord knows best the one who has brought guidance from Him, and (also) the one for whom the House of the Hereafter will be the (best) end. Surely, the wrongdoers will not prosper.’

ﭷﭸﭹﭺﭻﭼﭽﭾﭿﮀﮁﮂﮃﮄﮅﮆﮇﮈﮉﮊﮋﮌﮍﮎﮏﮐﮑﮒ

38. اور فرعون نے کہا: اے درباریو! میں تمہارے لئے اپنے سوا کوئی دوسرا معبود نہیں جانتا۔ اے ہامان! میرے لئے گارے کو آگ لگا (کر کچھ اینٹیں پکا) دے، پھر میرے لئے (ان سے) ایک اونچی عمارت تیار کر، شاید میں (اس پر چڑھ کر) موسٰی کے خدا تک رسائی پا سکوں، اور میں تو اس کو جھوٹ بولنے والوں میں گمان کرتا ہوںo

38. And Pharaoh said: ‘O courtiers, I do not know any god other than me for you. O Haman! Kindle a fire on clay (to bake bricks) for me; then build me a high tower (with them. Climbing it,) I may perhaps have an access to the Lord of Musa (Moses). And I regard him as one of the liars.’

ﮓﮔﮕﮖﮗﮘﮙﮚﮛﮜﮝﮞﮟ

39. اور اس (فرعون) نے خود اور اس کی فوجوں نے ملک میں ناحق تکبّر و سرکشی کی اور یہ گمان کر بیٹھے کہ وہ ہماری طرف نہیں لوٹائے جائیں گےo

39. And he (Pharaoh) himself and his warriors were unjust in the land, committing arrogance and defiance and thought they would not be brought back to Us.

ﮠﮡﮢﮣﮤﮥﮦﮧﮨﮩﮪﮫ

40. سو ہم نے اس کو اور اس کی فوجوں کو (عذاب میں) پکڑ لیا اور ان کو دریا میں پھینک دیا، تو آپ دیکھئے کہ ظالموں کا انجام کیسا (عبرت ناک) ہواo

40. So We seized him and his forces (in the torment) and threw them into the sea. Observe then how (terrible) was the end of the tyrants!

ﮬﮭﮮﮯﮰﮱﯓﯔﯕﯖﯗ

41. اور ہم نے انہیں (دوزخیوں کا) پیشوا بنا دیا کہ وہ (لوگوں کو) دوزخ کی طرف بلاتے تھے اور قیامت کے دن ان کی کوئی مدد نہیں کی جائے گیo

41. And We made them the leaders (of the inmates of Hell), for they used to invite (people) towards Hell. And they will not be given any help on the Day of Resurrection.

ﯘﯙﯚﯛﯜﯝﯞﯟﯠﯡﯢﯣ

42. اور ہم نے ان کے پیچھے اس دنیا میں (بھی) لعنت لگا دی اور قیامت کے دن (بھی) وہ بدحال لوگوں میں (شمار) ہوں گےo

42. And We made a curse to chase them in this world, and on the Day of Resurrection (as well) they will be (counted) amongst the miserable.

ﯤﯥﯦﯧﯨﯩﯪﯫﯬﯭﯮﯯﯰﯱﯲﯳﯴ

43. اور بیشک ہم نے اس (صورتِ حال) کے بعد کہ ہم پہلی (نافرمان) قوموں کو ہلاک کر چکے تھے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کو کتاب عطا کی جو لوگوں کے لئے (خزانۂ) بصیرت اور ہدایت و رحمت تھی، تاکہ وہ نصیحت قبول کریںo

43. And surely, after (this situation that) We had destroyed the former (defiant) communities, We gave Musa (Moses) the Book which was (a rich source of) vision, guidance and mercy for the people so that they might take advice.

ﭑﭒﭓﭔﭕﭖﭗﭘﭙﭚﭛﭜﭝﭞ

44. اور آپ (اس وقت طُور کے) مغربی جانب (تو موجود) نہیں تھے جب ہم نے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کی طرف حکمِ (رسالت) بھیجا تھا، اور نہ (ہی) آپ (ان ستّر افراد میں شامل تھے جو وحیِ موسٰی علیہ السلام کی) گواہی دینے والوں میں سے تھے (پس یہ سارا بیان غیب کی خبر نہیں تو اور کیا ہے؟)o

44. And you were not (present at that time) on the western side (of Tur) when We sent the command (of Prophethood) towards Musa (Moses), nor were you amongst (those seventy people who were) witnesses (to the Revelation to Musa [Moses]. So what else is this narration except the news of the unseen?)

ﭟﭠﭡﭢﭣﭤﭥﭦﭧﭨﭩﭪﭫﭬﭭﭮﭯﭰﭱﭲ

45. لیکن ہم نے (موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے بعد یکے بعد دیگرے) کئی قومیں پیدا فرمائیں پھر ان پر طویل مدّت گزر گئی، اور نہ (ہی) آپ (موسیٰ اور شعیب علیہما السلام کی طرح) اہل مدین میں مقیم تھے کہ آپ ان پر ہماری آیتیں پڑھ کر سناتے ہوں لیکن ہم ہی (آپ کو اخبارِ غیب سے سرفراز فرما کر) مبعوث فرمانے والے ہیںo

45. But We raised many generations (successively after Musa [Moses]) and long ages passed over them. Nor were you living amongst the people of Madyan (like Musa [Moses] and Shu‘ayb) reciting Our Verses to them. But it is for Us to send (you exalting with tidings of the unseen).

ﭳﭴﭵﭶﭷﭸﭹﭺﭻﭼﭽﭾﭿﮀﮁﮂﮃﮄﮅﮆﮇ

46. اور نہ (ہی) آپ طُور کے کنارے (اس وقت موجود) تھے جب ہم نے (موسٰی علیہ السلام کو) ندا فرمائی مگر (آپ کو ان تمام احوالِ غیب پر مطلع فرمانا) آپ کے رب کی جانب سے (خصوصی) رحمت ہے۔ تاکہ آپ (ان واقعات سے باخبر ہو کر) اس قوم کو (عذابِ الٰہی سے) ڈرائیں جن کے پاس آپ سے پہلے کوئی ڈر سنانے والا نہیں آیا، تاکہ وہ نصیحت قبول کریںo

46. Nor were you (present at that time) on the side of Tur when We called out to Musa (Moses). But (enlightening you on all these matters of the unseen) is an (exceptional) mercy from your Lord so that (having awareness of these incidents) you may warn these people (of the torment of Allah) to whom no Warner has come before you, in order that they may accept admonition.

ﮈﮉﮊﮋﮌﮍﮎﮏﮐﮑﮒﮓﮔﮕﮖﮗﮘﮙﮚ

47. اور (ہم کوئی رسول نہ بھیجتے) اگر یہ بات نہ ہوتی کہ جب انہیں کوئی مصیبت پہنچے ان کے اعمالِ بد کے باعث جو انہوں نے خود انجام دیئے تو وہ یہ نہ کہنے لگیں کہ اے ہمارے رب! تو نے ہماری طرف کوئی رسول کیوں نہ بھیجا تاکہ ہم تیری آیتوں کی پیروی کرتے اور ہم ایمان والوں میں سے ہوجاتےo

47. And (We would not send any Messenger) if this was not the case that when some suffering should seize them due to their own evil deeds which they did, they would say: ‘O our Lord, why did You not send us any Messenger so that we might follow Your Revelations and become of the believers?’

ﮛﮜﮝﮞﮟﮠﮡﮢﮣﮤﮥﮦﮧﮨﮩﮪﮫﮬﮭﮮﮯﮰﮱﯓﯔﯕﯖﯗﯘ

48. پھر جب ان کے پاس ہمارے حضور سے حق آپہنچا (تو) وہ کہنے لگے کہ اس (رسول) کو ان (نشانیوں) جیسی (نشانیاں) کیوں نہیں دی گئیں جو موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کو دی گئیں تھیں؟ کیا انہوں نے ان (نشانیوں) کا انکار نہیں کیا تھا جو اس سے پہلے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کو دی گئی تھیں؟ وہ کہنے لگے کہ دونوں (قرآن اور تورات) جادو ہیں (جو) ایک دوسرے کی تائید و موافقت کرتے ہیں، اور انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم (ان) سب کے منکر ہیںo

48. Then when the truth came to them from Our presence, they said: ‘Why has this (Messenger) not been given the (signs) like those (signs) which were given to Musa (Moses)?’ Did they not deny those (signs) which were given to Musa (Moses) before this? They said: ‘Both (the Qur’an as well as the Torah) are magic (which) confirm and agree with each other.’ And they said: ‘We deny all (of them).’

ﯙﯚﯛﯜﯝﯞﯟﯠﯡﯢﯣﯤﯥﯦ

49. آپ فرما دیں کہ تم اللہ کے حضور سے کوئی (اور) کتاب لے آؤ جو ان دونوں سے زیادہ ہدایت والی ہو (تو) میں اس کی پیروی کروں گا اگر تم (اپنے الزامات میں) سچے ہوo

49. Say: ‘Bring some (other) book from Allah which guides better than these two, (then) I shall follow that if you are truthful (in your blames).’

ﯧﯨﯩﯪﯫﯬﯭﯮﯯﯰﯱﯲﯳﯴﯵﯶﯷﯸﯹﯺﯻﯼﯽﯾﯿﰀ

50. پھر اگر وہ آپ کا ارشاد قبول نہ کریں تو آپ جان لیں (کہ ان کے لئے کوئی حجت باقی نہیں رہی) وہ محض اپنی خواہشات کی پیروی کرتے ہیں، اور اس شخص سے زیادہ گمراہ کون ہوسکتا ہے جو اللہ کی جانب سے ہدایت کو چھوڑ کر اپنی خواہش کی پیروی کرے۔ بیشک اللہ ظالم قوم کو ہدایت نہیں فرماتاo

50. But if they do not accept what you say, then know that (they do not have any logic); they merely follow their lusts. And who can be more astray than the one who follows his desire, abandoning the guidance from Allah? Surely, Allah does not guide the wrongdoers.

ﭑﭒﭓﭔﭕﭖﭗﭘ

51. اور درحقیقت ہم ان کے لئے پے در پے (قرآن کے) فرمان بھیجتے رہے تاکہ وہ نصیحت قبو ل کریںo

51. And in fact, We kept sending for them successive commands (of the Qur’an) so that they might take direction and guidance.

ﭙﭚﭛﭜﭝﭞﭟﭠﭡ

52. جن لوگوں کو ہم نے اس سے پہلے کتاب عطا کی تھی وہ (اسی ہدایت کے تسلسل میں) اس (قرآن) پر (بھی) ایمان رکھتے ہیںo

52. Those whom We gave the Book before this, they believe in this (Qur’an as well in the continuation of the same guidance).

ﭢﭣﭤﭥﭦﭧﭨﭩﭪﭫﭬﭭﭮﭯﭰﭱ

53. اور جب ان پر (قرآن) پڑھ کر سنایا جاتا ہے تو وہ کہتے ہیں: ہم اس پر ایمان لائے بیشک یہ ہمارے رب کی جانب سے حق ہے، حقیقت میں تو ہم اس سے پہلے ہی مسلمان (یعنی فرمانبردار) ہوچکے تھےo

53. And when (the Qur’an) is recited to them, they say: ‘We believe in it; verily, it is the truth from our Lord. In fact, we had become Muslims (i.e., the yielding) even before this.’

ﭲﭳﭴﭵﭶﭷﭸﭹﭺﭻﭼﭽﭾ

54. یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جنہیں ان کا اجر دوبار دیا جائے گا اس وجہ سے کہ انہوں نے صبر کیا اور وہ برائی کو بھلائی کے ذریعے دفع کرتے ہیں اور اس عطا میں سے جو ہم نے انہیں بخشی خرچ کرتے ہیںo

54. It is these people who will be given their reward twice because they remained steadfast and they repelled evil by means of good, and spent in Our way out of the bounty We bestowed upon them.

ﭿﮀﮁﮂﮃﮄﮅﮆﮇﮈﮉﮊﮋﮌﮍﮎ

55. اورجب وہ کوئی بیہودہ بات سنتے ہیں تو اس سے منہ پھیر لیتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے لئے ہمارے اعمال ہیں اور تمہارے لئے تمہارے اعمال، تم پر سلامتی ہو ہم جاہلوں (کے فکر و عمل) کو (اپنانا) نہیں چاہتے (گویا ان کی برائی کے عوض ہم اپنی اچھائی کیوں چھوڑیں)o

55. And when they hear anything absurd, they turn away from it and say: ‘For us are our deeds and for you are your deeds. Peace be upon you! We do not want (to adopt the mentality and conduct of) the ignorant. (Why should we give up our good for the sake of their evil?)’

ﮏﮐﮑﮒﮓﮔﮕﮖﮗﮘﮙﮚﮛﮜﮝ

56. حقیقت یہ ہے کہ جسے آپ (راہ ہدایت پر لانا) چاہتے ہیں اسے راہ ہدایت پر آپ خود نہیں لاتے بلکہ جسے اللہ چاہتا ہے (آپ کے ذریعے) راہ ہدایت پر چلا دیتا ہے، اور وہ راہ ہدایت پانے والوں سے خوب واقف ہےo

56. The truth is that whoever you like (to bring on to the path of guidance), you do not yourself bring him on to the path of guidance. Instead, (it so happens that) whomever Allah pleases, He makes him tread the path of guidance (through your mediation). And He knows best those who find the path of guidance.

ﮞﮟﮠﮡﮢﮣﮤﮥﮦﮧﮨﮩﮪﮫﮬﮭﮮﮯﮰﮱﯓﯔﯕﯖﯗﯘﯙ

57. اور (قدر ناشناس) کہتے ہیں کہ اگر ہم آپ کی معیّت میں ہدایت کی پیروی کر لیں تو ہم اپنے ملک سے اچک لئے جائیں گے۔ کیا ہم نے انہیں (اس) امن والے حرم (شہرِ مکہ جو آپ ہی کا وطن ہے) میں نہیں بسایا جہاں ہماری طرف سے رزق کے طور پر (دنیا کی ہر سمت سے) ہر جنس کے پھل پہنچائے جاتے ہیں، لیکن ان میں سے اکثر لوگ نہیں جانتے (کہ یہ سب کچھ کس کے صدقے سے ہو رہا ہے)o

57. And (the ignorant of its value) say: ‘If we follow the guidance in your company, we shall be snatched out of our land.’ Have We not made them settle in (this) secure and peaceful Sanctuary (Mecca—your own land) where all kinds of fruits are supplied (from all over the world) as sustenance from Us? But most of them do not know (for whose sake this whole process operates).

ﯚﯛﯜﯝﯞﯟﯠﯡﯢﯣﯤﯥﯦﯧﯨﯩﯪﯫﯬﯭ

58. اور ہم نے کتنی ہی (ایسی) بستیوں کو برباد کر ڈالا جو اپنی خوشحال معیشت پر غرور و ناشکری کر رہی تھیں، تو یہ ان کے (تباہ شدہ) مکانات ہیں جو ان کے بعد کبھی آباد ہی نہیں ہوئے مگر بہت کم، اور (آخر کار) ہم ہی وارث و مالک ہیںo

58. And how many towns have We destroyed that became arrogant and ungrateful on account of their prosperous economies! So here are (the remains of) their (ruined) houses that have been inhabited after them but little. And We alone are the Inheritor and Owner (in the end).

ﯮﯯﯰﯱﯲﯳﯴﯵﯶﯷﯸﯹﯺﯻﯼﯽﯾﯿﰀﰁﰂﰃ

59. اور آپ کا رب بستیوں کو تباہ کرنے والا نہیں ہے یہاں تک کہ وہ اس کے بڑے مرکزی شہر (capital) میں پیغمبر بھیج دے جو ان پر ہماری آیتیں تلاوت کرے، اور ہم بستیوں کو ہلاک کرنے والے نہیں ہیں مگر اس حال میں کہ وہاں کے مکین ظالم ہوںo

59. And your Lord does not destroy the towns until He sends to their capital city a Messenger who recites to them Our Verses. And We do not destroy towns unless their dwellers are given to oppression.

ﭑﭒﭓﭔﭕﭖﭗﭘﭙﭚﭛﭜﭝﭞﭟﭠﭡﭢ

60. اور جو چیز بھی تمہیں عطا کی گئی ہے سو (وہ) دنیوی زندگی کا سامان اور اس کی رونق و زینت ہے۔ مگر جو چیز (بھی) اللہ کے پاس ہے وہ (اس سے) زیادہ بہتر اور دائمی ہے۔ کیا تم (اس حقیقت کو) نہیں سمجھتےo

60. And whatever you have been given are but provisions of the worldly life, its charms and beauty. But what is (yet) with Allah is far better (than this) and eternal. Do you not understand (this fact)?

ﭣﭤﭥﭦﭧﭨﭩﭪﭫﭬﭭﭮﭯﭰﭱﭲﭳﭴ

61. کیا وہ شخص جس سے ہم نے کوئی (آخرت کا) اچھا وعدہ فرمایا ہو پھر وہ اسے پانے والا ہو جائے، اس (بدنصیب) کی مثل ہو سکتا ہے جسے ہم نے دنیوی زندگی کے سامان سے نوازا ہو پھر وہ (کفرانِ نعمت کے باعث) روزِ قیامت (عذاب کے لئے) حاضر کئے جانے والوں میں سے ہو جائےo

61. Can he to whom We have made an excellent promise (pertaining to Hereafter), and who becomes one to attain to it be like the (ill-fated) one We have given the good things of worldly life, then (owing to ingratitude for the bounties) becomes of those who will be brought forth on the Last Day (for punishment)?

ﭵﭶﭷﭸﭹﭺﭻﭼﭽ

62. اور جس دن (اللہ) انہیں پکارے گا تو فرمائے گا کہ میرے وہ شریک کہاں ہیں جنہیں تم (معبود) خیال کیا کرتے تھےo

62. And the Day when (Allah) will call them and say: ‘Where are those that you regarded as My partners and considered them (gods)?’

ﭾﭿﮀﮁﮂﮃﮄﮅﮆﮇﮈﮉﮊﮋﮌﮍﮎﮏﮐﮑﮒ

63. وہ لوگ جن پر (عذاب کا) فرمان ثابت ہو چکا کہیں گے: اے ہمارے رب! یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن کو ہم نے گمراہ کیا تھا ہم نے انہیں (اسی طرح) گمراہ کیا تھا جس طرح ہم (خود) گمراہ ہوئے تھے، ہم ان سے بیزاری ظاہر کرتے ہوئے تیری طرف متوجہ ہوتے ہیں اور وہ (درحقیقت) ہماری پرستش نہیں کرتے تھے (بلکہ اپنی نفسانی خواہشات کے پجاری تھے)o

63. The people against whom the command (of torment) has been proved will say: ‘O our Lord, it is these people who we misguided. We led them astray (the same way) as we (ourselves) lost the right path. We turn to You showing our disgust towards them and (in fact) they did not worship us. (They rather worshipped their lusts.)’

ﮓﮔﮕﮖﮗﮘﮙﮚﮛﮜﮝﮞﮟﮠﮡ

64. اور (ان سے) کہا جائے گا: تم اپنے (خود ساختہ) شریکوں کو بلاؤ، سو وہ انہیں پکاریں گے پس وہ (شریک) انہیں کوئی جواب نہ دیں گے اور وہ لوگ عذاب کو دیکھ لیں گے، کاش! وہ (دنیا میں) راہِ ہدایت پا چکے ہوتےo

64. And it will be said (to them): ‘Call your (self-made) partners.’ So they will call them but they (the partners) will not respond to them and those people will see the torment. Would that they had taken guidance (in the world)!

ﮢﮣﮤﮥﮦﮧﮨ

65. اور جس دن (اللہ) انہیں پکارے گا تو وہ فرمائے گا: تم نے پیغمبروں کو کیا جواب دیا تھاo

65. And the Day when (Allah) will call to them, He will say: ‘What answer did you serve to the Messengers?’

ﮩﮪﮫﮬﮭﮮﮯﮰ

66. تو ان پر اس دن خبریں پوشیدہ ہو جائیں گی سو وہ ایک دوسرے سے پوچھ (بھی) نہ سکیں گےo

66. On that Day, all information will become unknown to them, and they will not be able to ask (even) one another.

ﮱﯓﯔﯕﯖﯗﯘﯙﯚﯛﯜﯝ

67. لیکن جس نے توبہ کر لی اور ایمان لے آیا اور نیک عمل کیا تو یقیناً وہ فلاح پانے والوں میں سے ہوگاo

67. But whoever repents and believes and does pious deeds will surely be of those who are successful.

ﯞﯟﯠﯡﯢﯣﯤﯥﯦﯧﯨﯩﯪﯫﯬﯭﯮ

68. اور آپ کا رب جو چاہتا ہے پیدا فرماتا ہے اور (جسے چاہتا ہے نبوت اور حقِ شفاعت سے نوازنے کے لئے) منتخب فرما لیتا ہے، ان (منکر اور مشرک) لوگوں کو (اس امر میں) کوئی مرضی اور اختیار حاصل نہیں ہے۔ اللہ پاک ہے اور بالاتر ہے ان (باطل معبودوں) سے جنہیں وہ (اللہ کا) شریک گردانتے ہیں۔o

68. And your Lord creates whatever He wills and chooses (whom He pleases for Prophethood and for the right of intercession). These (disbelievers and polytheists) have no authority or choice (in this matter). Holy is Allah the Glorious and Exalted, far above (the false gods) that they associate as partners (with Allah)!

ﯯﯰﯱﯲﯳﯴﯵﯶ

69. اور آپ کا رب ان (تمام باتوں) کو جانتا ہے جو ان کے سینے (اپنے اندر) چھپائے ہوئے ہیں اور جو کچھ وہ آشکار کرتے ہیں۔o

69. And your Lord knows (all) what their breasts hide (inside) and what they make known.

ﯷﯸﯹﯺﯻﯼﯽﯾﯿﰀﰁﰂﰃﰄﰅﰆﰇﰈ

70. اور وہی اللہ ہے اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ دنیا اور آخرت میں ساری تعریفیں اسی کے لئے ہیں، اور (حقیقی) حکم و فرمانروائی (بھی) اسی کی ہے اور تم اسی کی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گےo

70. And He alone is Allah; apart from Him there is no God. All praise belongs to Him in the world and in the Hereafter. And His alone is the (true) command and rule and to Him alone will you be returned.

ﭑﭒﭓﭔﭕﭖﭗﭘﭙﭚﭛﭜﭝﭞﭟﭠﭡﭢﭣﭤﭥ

71. فرما دیجئے: ذرا اتنا بتاؤ کہ اگر اللہ تمہارے اوپر روزِ قیامت تک ہمیشہ رات طاری فرما دے (تو) اللہ کے سوا کون معبود ہے جو تمہیں روشنی لا دے۔ کیا تم (یہ باتیں) سنتے نہیں ہوo

71. Say: ‘Just answer: If Allah prolongs the night over you till the Day of Resurrection, (then) what god is there besides Allah who will bring you light? Do you not hear (these words)?’

ﭦﭧﭨﭩﭪﭫﭬﭭﭮﭯﭰﭱﭲﭳﭴﭵﭶﭷﭸﭹﭺﭻﭼ

72. فرما دیجئے: ذرا یہ (بھی) بتاؤ کہ اگر اللہ تمہارے اوپر روزِ قیامت تک ہمیشہ دن طاری فرما دے (تو) اللہ کے سوا کون معبود ہے جو تمہیں رات لا دے کہ تم اس میں آرام کر سکو، کیا تم دیکھتے نہیں ہوo

72. Say: ‘Just tell me this (as well): If Allah prolongs the day over you till the Day of Resurrection, (then) what god is there besides Allah who will bring you night in which you may take rest? Do you not see?’

ﭽﭾﭿﮀﮁﮂﮃﮄﮅﮆﮇﮈﮉﮊ

73. اور اس نے اپنی رحمت سے تمہارے لئے رات اور دن کو بنایا تاکہ تم رات میں آرام کرو اور (دن میں) اس کا فضل (روزی) تلاش کرسکو اور تاکہ تم شکر گزار بنوo

73. And it is out of His mercy that He has made night and day for you so that at night you may take rest and (during the day) you may seek His bounty (sustenance) and so that you may become grateful.

ﮋﮌﮍﮎﮏﮐﮑﮒﮓ

74. اور جس دن وہ انہیں پکارے گا تو ارشاد فرمائے گا کہ میرے وہ شریک کہاں ہیں جنہیں تم (معبود) خیال کرتے تھےo

74. And the Day when He will call to them and say: ‘Where are they who you regarded as My partners and considered (gods)?’

ﮔﮕﮖﮗﮘﮙﮚﮛﮜﮝﮞﮟﮠﮡﮢﮣﮤﮥ

75. اور ہم ہر امت سے ایک گواہ نکالیں گے پھر ہم (کفار سے) کہیں گے کہ تم اپنی دلیل لاؤ تو وہ جان لیں گے کہ سچ بات اللہ ہی کی ہے اور ان سے وہ سب (باتیں) جاتی رہیں گی جو وہ جھوٹ باندھا کرتے تھےo

75. And We shall take out from every community a witness, and We shall then say (to the disbelievers): ‘Bring your proof.’ Then they will know that the truth belongs to Allah, and all (the lies) they used to invent will disappear from them.

ﮦﮧﮨﮩﮪﮫﮬﮭﮮﮯﮰﮱﯓﯔﯕﯖﯗﯘﯙﯚﯛﯜﯝﯞﯟﯠﯡﯢﯣﯤﯥﯦﯧ

76. بیشک قارون موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کی قوم سے تھا پھر اس نے لوگوں پر سرکشی کی اور ہم نے اسے اس قدر خزانے عطا کئے تھے کہ اس کی کنجیاں (اٹھانا) ایک بڑی طاقتور جماعت کو دشوار ہوتا تھا، جبکہ اس کی قوم نے اس سے کہا: تُو (خوشی کے مارے) غُرور نہ کر بیشک اللہ اِترانے والوں کو پسند نہیں فرماتاo

76. No doubt Qarun (Korah) was of the people of Musa (Moses) but he oppressed them. And We gave him so much of treasures that it was hard for a powerful party of strong men to (carry) his keys whilst his people said to him: ‘Do not be arrogant and conceited (out of rejoicing). Verily, Allah does not like those who gloat.

ﯨﯩﯪﯫﯬﯭﯮﯯﯰﯱﯲﯳﯴﯵﯶﯷﯸﯹﯺﯻﯼﯽﯾﯿﰀﰁﰂﰃﰄﰅﰆ

77. اور تو اس (دولت) میں سے جو اللہ نے تجھے دے رکھی ہے آخرت کا گھر طلب کر، اور دنیا سے (بھی) اپنا حصہ نہ بھول اور تو (لوگوں سے ویسا ہی) احسان کر جیسا احسان اللہ نے تجھ سے فرمایا ہے اور ملک میں (ظلم، ارتکاز اور استحصال کی صورت میں) فساد انگیزی (کی راہیں) تلاش نہ کر، بیشک اللہ فساد بپا کرنے والوں کو پسند نہیں فرماتاo

77. And seek the home of the Hereafter with what (wealth) Allah has given you, and (also) do not forget your share of the world. And do (such) good (to the people) as Allah has done good to you. But do not look for (ways to spread) evil and terror in the land (through oppression, accumulation of wealth and exploitation). Surely, Allah does not like those who violate peace.’

ﭑﭒﭓﭔﭕﭖﭗﭘﭙﭚﭛﭜﭝﭞﭟﭠﭡﭢﭣﭤﭥﭦﭧﭨﭩﭪﭫﭬﭭﭮﭯ

78. وہ کہنے لگا: (میں یہ مال معاشرے اور عوام پر کیوں خرچ کروں) مجھے تویہ مال صرف اس (کسبی) علم و ہنر کی بنا پر دیا گیا ہے جو میرے پاس ہے۔ کیا اسے یہ معلوم نہ تھا کہ اللہ نے واقعۃً اس سے پہلے بہت سی ایسی قوموں کو ہلاک کر دیا تھا جو طاقت میں اس سے کہیں زیادہ سخت تھیں اور (مال و دولت اور افرادی قوت کے) جمع کرنے میں کہیں زیادہ (آگے) تھیں، اور (بوقتِ ہلاکت) مجرموں سے ان کے گناہوں کے بارے میں (مزید تحقیق یا کوئی عذر اور سبب) نہیں پوچھا جائے گاo

78. He said: ‘(Why should I spend this capital for the good of people and society?) This wealth has been given to me only on the basis of (the professional) knowledge and skill I possess.’ Did he not know that Allah had indeed destroyed before him many communities who were far stronger than him in might and far ahead in accumulating (wealth and manpower)? And the culprits will not be questioned (for fact-finding or any excuse or reason) about their sins (at the time of destruction).

ﭰﭱﭲﭳﭴﭵﭶﭷﭸﭹﭺﭻﭼﭽﭾﭿﮀﮁﮂﮃﮄﮅ

79. پھر وہ اپنی قوم کے سامنے (پوری) زینت و آرائش (کی حالت) میں نکلا۔ (اس کی ظاہری شان و شوکت کو دیکھ کر) وہ لوگ بول اٹھے جو دنیوی زندگی کے خواہش مند تھے: کاش! ہمارے لئے (بھی) ایسا (مال و متاع) ہوتا جیسا قارون کو دیا گیا ہے، بیشک وہ بڑے نصیب والا ہےo

79. Then he went forth before his people, (fully) adorned and ornamented. (Seeing his apparent pomp and show) those who were desirous of worldly life could not help saying: ‘Would that there were such (affluence and riches) for us (as well) as Qarun (Korah) has been given! Surely, he has a mighty fortune.’

ﮆﮇﮈﮉﮊﮋﮌﮍﮎﮏﮐﮑﮒﮓﮔﮕﮖ

80. اور (دوسری طرف) وہ لوگ جنہیں علمِ (حق) دیا گیا تھا بول اٹھے: تم پر افسوس ہے اللہ کا ثواب اس شخص کے لئے (اس دولت و زینت سے کہیں زیادہ) بہتر ہے جو ایمان لایا ہو اور نیک عمل کرتا ہو، مگر یہ (اجر و ثواب) صبر کرنے والوں کے سوا کسی کو عطا نہیں کیا جائے گاo

80. And (on the other side) those who had been granted knowledge (of the truth) said: ‘Woe to you! Allah’s reward is (far) better (than this wealth and adornment) for him who has believed and is committed to pious deeds. But this (reward and compensation) will not be given except to those who keep patience.’

ﮗﮘﮙﮚﮛﮜﮝﮞﮟﮠﮡﮢﮣﮤﮥﮦﮧﮨ

81. پھرہم نے اس (قارون) کو اور اس کے گھر کو زمین میں دھنسا دیا، سو اللہ کے سوا اس کے لئے کوئی بھی جماعت (ایسی) نہ تھی جو (عذاب سے بچانے میں) اس کی مدد کرسکتی اور نہ وہ خود ہی عذاب کو روک سکاo

81. Then We sank him (Qarun [Korah]) and his house into the earth. So except Allah, there was no (such) party that could help him (in saving from the torment). Nor could he stop the torment himself.

ﮩﮪﮫﮬﮭﮮﮯﮰﮱﯓﯔﯕﯖﯗﯘﯙﯚﯛﯜﯝﯞﯟﯠﯡﯢﯣﯤﯥﯦ

82. اور جو لوگ کل اس کے مقام و مرتبہ کی تمنا کر رہے تھے (اَز رہِ ندامت) کہنے لگے: کتنا عجیب ہے کہ اللہ اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کے لئے چاہتا ہے رزق کشادہ فرماتا اور (جس کے لئے چاہتا ہے) تنگ فرماتا ہے، اگر اللہ نے ہم پر احسان نہ فرمایا ہوتا تو ہمیں (بھی) دھنسا دیتا، ہائے تعجب ہے! (اب معلوم ہوا) کہ کافر نجات نہیں پا سکتےo

82. And those who were longing for his position and prominence the day before said (feeling sorry and regretful): ‘How amazing! Allah gives abundantly to whom He wills and sparingly (to whom He wills) of His servants. Had Allah not done favour to us, He would have sunk us (too). Ah! (It is now understood) that the disbelievers cannot attain to deliverance.’

ﯧﯨﯩﯪﯫﯬﯭﯮﯯﯰﯱﯲﯳﯴﯵﯶ

83. (یہ) وہ آخرت کا گھر ہے جسے ہم نے ایسے لوگوں کے لئے بنایا ہے جو نہ (تو) زمین میں سرکشی و تکبر چاہتے ہیں اور نہ فساد انگیزی، اور نیک انجام پرہیزگاروں کے لئے ہےo

83. (This) is the Home of the Hereafter We have made for such people that seek neither violence and vanity nor mischief in the land. And good end is for the Godfearing.

ﯷﯸﯹﯺﯻﯼﯽﯾﯿﰀﰁﰂﰃﰄﰅﰆﰇﰈﰉﰊ

84. جو شخص نیکی لے کر آئے گا اس کے لئے اس سے بہتر (صلہ) ہے اور جو شخص برائی لے کر آئے گا تو برے کام کرنے والوں کو کوئی بدلہ نہیں دیا جائے گا مگر اسی قدر جو وہ کرتے رہے تھےo

84. Whoever brings good, for him is reward better than that; and whoever brings evil, then there is no compensation for the evildoers but equal to what they used to do.

ﭑﭒﭓﭔﭕﭖﭗﭘﭙﭚﭛﭜﭝﭞﭟﭠﭡﭢﭣﭤﭥ

85. بیشک جس (رب) نے آپ پر قرآن (کی تبلیغ و اقامت کو) فرض کیا ہے یقیناً وہ آپ کو (آپ کی چاہت کے مطابق) لوٹنے کی جگہ (مکہ یا آخرت) کی طرف (فتح و کامیابی کے ساتھ) واپس لے جانے والا ہے۔ فرما دیجئے: میرا رب اسے خوب جانتا ہے جو ہدایت لے کر آیا اور اسے (بھی) جو صریح گمراہی میں ہے۔٭o

٭ (یہ آیت مکہ سے مدینہ کی طرف ہجرت فرماتے ہوئے حجفہ کے مقام پر نازل ہوئی اور یہ وعدہ فتح مکہ کے دن پورا ہو گیا۔)

85. Surely, (the Lord) Who has enjoined (the teaching, preaching and establishment of the system given in) the Qur’an upon you will bring you back (according to your desire) to the place of return (Mecca or the Hereafter with victory and success). Say: ‘My Lord knows best the one who brought guidance and (also) the one who is in open error.’*

ﭦﭧﭨﭩﭪﭫﭬﭭﭮﭯﭰﭱﭲﭳﭴﭵﭶ

86. اور تم (حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی وساطت سے اُمتِ محمدی کو خطاب ہے) اس بات کی امید نہ رکھتے تھے کہ تم پر (یہ) کتاب اتاری جائے گی مگر (یہ) تمہارے رب کی رحمت (سے اتری) ہے، پس تم ہرگز کافروں کے مددگار نہ بنناo

86. (The Muslim Umma [Community] is addressed through the Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him:) And you did not expect that this (Book) will be revealed to you, but it is (revealed by) the mercy of your Lord. So never be a helper of the disbelievers.

ﭷﭸﭹﭺﭻﭼﭽﭾﭿﮀﮁﮂﮃﮄﮅﮆﮇﮈﮉ

87. اور وہ (کفار) تمہیں ہرگز اللہ کی آیتوں (کی تعمیل و تبلیغ) سے باز نہ رکھیں اس کے بعد کہ وہ تمہاری طرف اتاری جا چکی ہیں اور تم (لوگوں کو) اپنے رب کی طرف بلاتے رہو اور مشرکوں میں سے ہرگز نہ ہوناo

87. And never let these (disbelievers) turn you away from (implementing and preaching of) the Revelations of Allah after they have been sent down to you. And keep calling (the people) towards your Lord, and never become of those who associate partners with Allah.

ﮊﮋﮌﮍﮎﮏﮐﮑﮒﮓﮔﮕﮖﮗﮘﮙﮚﮛﮜﮝﮞﮟﮠ

88. اور تم اللہ کے ساتھ کسی دوسرے (خود ساختہ) معبود کو نہ پوجا کرو، اس کے سوا کوئی عبادت کے لائق نہیں، اس کی ذات کے سوا ہر چیز فانی ہے، حکم اسی کا ہے اور تم (سب) اسی کی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گےo

88. And never worship any other (self-made) god besides Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except He. Everything has to perish but He. His is the command and to Him you (all) will be returned.
