اِتَّخَذُوۡۤا اَیۡمَانَہُمۡ جُنَّۃً فَصَدُّوۡا عَنۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ فَلَہُمۡ عَذَابٌ مُّہِیۡنٌ ﴿۱۶﴾

16. انہوں نے اپنی (جھوٹی) قَسموں کو ڈھال بنا لیا ہے سو وہ (دوسروں کو) راہِ خدا سے روکتے ہیں، پس اُن کے لئے ذِلّت انگیز عذاب ہےo

16. They take their (false) oaths as a shield and bar (others) from the way of Allah. So, there shall be a humiliating punishment for them.

16. They have made their (false) oaths a shield. So they hinder (others) from the way of Allah. Consequently, there is a humiliating punishment for them.

16. Ittakhathoo aymanahum junnatan fasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi falahum AAathabun muheenun

16. De har gjort sine (falske) eder til et skjold, så de hindrer (andre) fra Allahs vei. Derfor venter det dem en nedverdigende pine.

16. उन्होंने अपनी (झूटी) क़स्मों को ढाल बना लिया है सो वोह (दूसरों को) राहे ख़ुदा से रोकते हैं, पस उनके लिये ज़िल्लत अंगेज़ अ़ज़ाब है।

১৬. তারা তাদের (মিথ্যা) শপথকে ঢাল স্বরূপ ব্যবহার করেছে, সুতরাং তারা (অপরকে) আল্লাহ্‌র পথ থেকে নিবৃত্ত করে। কাজেই তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে লাঞ্ছনাকর শাস্তি।
(الْمُجَادَلَة، 58 : 16)
