وَ النَّجۡمِ اِذَا ہَوٰی ۙ﴿۱﴾

1. قَسم ہے روشن ستارے (محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی جب وہ (چشمِ زدن میں شبِ معراج اوپر جا کر) نیچے اترےo

1. By the star when it sets,*

* According to some scholars, the star also refers to Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him), when he ascended to the ends of the Heavens to meet Allah during the Night of Ascension and then descended back to the world. It is stated by Imam Ja‘far b. Muhammad al-Sadiq, al-Akhfash, al-Tustari, al-Sulami and others. See: al-Baghawi, al-Qurtubi, al-Khazin, Abu Hafs al-Hanbali, al-Tha‘labi, al-Shawkani, al-Alusi and others.

1. By (Muhammad [blessings and peace be upon him]), the bright star when (he ascended during the Ascension Night in the twinkling of an eye and) descended.

1. Waalnnajmi itha hawa

1. Ved den skinnende stjernen (Mohammad ﷺ) da han (steg opp under oppstigningsnatten i løpet av en blunk og så) steg ned!

1. क़सम है रौशन सितारे मुहम्मद (सल्लल्लाहु अ़लैहि व सल्लम) की जब वोह (चश्मे ज़दन में शबे मेअ़राज ऊपर जा कर) नीचे उतरे।

১. শপথ উজ্জ্বল তারকা (মুহাম্মদ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া আলিহী ওয়াসাল্লাম)-এঁর যখন তিনি (মিরাজ রজনীতে এক মুহূর্তে ঊর্ধ্বগমনের পর) নিম্নে অবতরণ করেন।
